yeah just checked that out, nice write up. shame about that slip up . Took the front end right off, and dropped the subframe out the way, belts and balancer off etc. Looks like we did exactly the same job i converted mine from chain to geared at the same time so i had to do the dreaded angle grinding to get the sprocket off the crank. No puller was going to look at it. Nice to see someone else likes to cook there gears in the oven, worked a treat. Glad your all sorted now.

feels like in 5 years time the oil pump upgraders will be the only ones driving the B6/B7 Audi, the rest will be on the scrap heap. best thing ive ****** in sometime....a steel gear! cheers Pete

Yeah your right there mate, such a shame. Managed to get a second hand geared unit and refurbed it with a balance shaft from KMB parts, hes a top bloke. So i second that KMB parts direct all the way. You take care matey
