I agree, even in very cold or very hot weather all my cars have maintained 90 degrees on the guage.
Hi everyone!
Had the same problem with Audi A6 2010 2.0 TDI CAHA.. Both thermostats replaced, water pump replaced during timing belt replacement and still the same problem...
And it it's the same now with A4 2010 2.0 TDI CAGC... Local Audi dealer explained the same story that it is "normal", and said, that there is electric or diesel supplementary heater for that...
Both thermostats were made by MAHLE for A6.. Just wondering, may be they were defective? Should I try original Audi stats?
Best regards!
If audi diesel engines are anything like my old Mondeo st tdci engine they are very efficient, during winter months or cold weather my mondeo struggled to get up to 90° and hold it, nothing wrong with it, I would always get warm air into the cabin when required, then in summer months when weather warmer the car would easily hit temperature. If car runs ok I wouldn't worry.
i will hold on to it or i will just put a sticker on it with steady at 90c , any suggestions for poor fuel economy my 3 series always did 45mpg but a4 seems to stick around 35 or if i drive like grandad 40mpg, everything is full serviced on time baffles me new cars. thank a lotAt the moment my TDI sits around 70°c most of the time. Climate control works absolutely fine. As the ambient temperature is in single figures, I'm not going to worry that much about it.
