Non-starting issue - VCDS Log included

Hi guys.

We've got a 2009 A3 2.0 TDi 140 Cabriolet with the S-Tronic gearbox. Yesterday on moving the shift lever from reverse to drive, the car momentarily refused to change into drive. After this happened, a fault has presented itself where the car will crank over (and start) but cuts out almost immediately again. It refuses to start, essentially, and cuts out straight away.

Car is fine apart from this, well looked after, only 31k miles, NO warning lights on dash apart from an occasional orange DPF flash in the top third of the central DIS screen.

The log from the VCDS hookup is copied below - is anyone able to translate this into layman's English for us please? We need to figure out what needs changing and how straightforward it may/may not be - plus cost implications.

no **** sherlock


more to the point id check the ignition barrel. sounds like the switch or contacts are dirty or loose, had this on a golf mk4 little while back. new owner told me the ignition barrel was faulty, shame i didnt know about vag come good few years back

Thanks mate. From some preliminary research online I'm thinking the ignition barrel, will investigate this further. Thanks!
 
Is it possibly the immobilser that's playing up? May sound rediculous, but have you tried both keys?
