How often should you replace spark plugs?

I've never checked the ones in mine since owning the car :/

Has anybody found that certain manufacturer's plugs improve power over other manufacturer's?

Just a curious, not very technical topic :)

change intervals varies with the plugs you have.

alot of people recommend and fit NGK iridium plugs such as BKR6EIX, which should last 40-50k.

if you've never changed them, change them, yours could be nakered, you might find a smoother car thats better on fuel. i think the smoothness can sometimes be mistaken for power, dont expect a horsepower increase, unless of course yours are really bad.

Mine were done at the last service and had 35K on them.

I've owned the car for just over 10k miles, no idea when they were last changed because the car came with no history. Could be worth doing I think! :)

I don't use iridium, I use BKR7E plugs and change them every 7500 miles.
