Hello.
I have a 2006 2.0 Tfsi multitronic A4 and the drives around 20 meters and then judders and stops and does not engage. I then have to turn the car off and start it again and it will move again but the same juddering starts again.
The car has just had the auto box oil cooler/rad removed and replaced and the garage topped up the ATF oil with audi ATF oil. The car drove fine 1st but the problem has now started.
1)could the gear box have too much oil in it which could effect it? does it have to be filled up by a special tool/machine etc?

2)Or Is this some thing to do with the normal multitronic problems that they all suffer from?

3)does anybody know a mutitronic gearbox specialist in nottingham/east midlands?

Thanks for looking

Hi,
Not sure about Nottingham, however, if poss. try the following VW, Audi, Skoda & SEAT Specialist in Leicester : Nass-Tech Autos Ltd. I spoke to them about problems with my multitronic box a couple of days ago (following a problem with gearbox lights flashing and a fault being diagnosed with control module). They appear to be quite clued up on VAG auto transmission issues and are cheaper than others. Also looking through this forum another member had his multitronic box fixed by them and was happy with the work.

Hope this helps & let us know if you have any luck.

Your gearbox ECU is on the way out, I also change the trans'fluid but the faults remained. Your old ECU fixed but it means drain the fluid taking the ECU off the back of the gear and sending it away, or you can just get a new one put on, if you've just change your transmission fluid theres no point in putting new stuff in. they can reuse it but might need a litre top up. You looking at a good part of a grand.
