Bonjour,

Welcome to the site!!

The joys of specs!! Endless hours of thinking what is best!

I think the titanium matches the SMG surround the best & I personally dont like the look of the titanium SMG/steering with aluminium shaddow or wood. A friend of mine has grey leather with titanium & looks ok as the grey leather is lighter. I personally am not keen on grey leather-doesnt look so classy-JMHO though. I have silver grey with black interior which is /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/em_love.gif Carbonblack looks nice but cleaning is an issue...

Am sure you will enjoy regardless of colour & am sure you will learn alot from the site!!

Hi Wolfman,

Your combo is the second choice in my list. Carbon with cinnamon is great and maybe titan shadow could be an other choice instead of wood eucalyptus.

I send you a mp for pics.

Hi Scouse,

Your M3 is great cause it's the combo that I want in first => carbon/grey/titan/SMG
My second choice is carbon/cinnamon/titan/SMG.

Does anyone have pics of this 2nd combo ? Yes, I see more pics on the members gallery.

Welcome to the site I am glad you are choosing the best value high-performance coupe on the marketplace.
Carbon black is a fantastic colour as it looks different in many different lights. It does however require far more maintenance than one of the silver colours. But when you have a carbon black car waxed its unbeatable. The other problem with carbon black is the paint chips very easily. Therefore I would recommend some sort of armour guard product.

In my personal opinion although common I would go for the imola red leather it is a very common combination of very very very nice

I would also recommend installing satellite navigation as this is a real worth while extra

I hope you enjoy your car is much as I do

Hi a1-blaster,

Thanks for your answer.
My futur M3 wil be full loaded i.e. Moonroof, Harman/Kardon, GPS, 6 CD Changer, SMG, 19" 67 M wheels, Alarm, Electrically folding side mirrors, ski bag, heated seats, ...

I have the satnav on my Z4 and it's great, so, it's an option which is essential for me.

Yes, the carbonblack is required cleaning but it's not a problem for me. Moreover, I lived in South of France and the weather is very good, just 10 days of rain in 1 year.

Hi,

my V plate 1.8T is due a service fairly soon, 69000 miles or thereabouts. Any recommendations for somewhere to take it in the East Yorks area? Also, having only owned the car 6/7 months whats kinda bill should I expect (except a big un before someone says it!). Am also gonna be needing a new starter motor - it appears to be sticking after the cars been started. Again, a likely cost for the part and labour to replace?

Thanks in anticipation,

Daren

where abouts are you i know of a place just off junction 41 m1 but this may be too far for you as thats west yorkshire ???

Hi,

appreciate the reply but am right over the other side of east yorks bet Hull and the coast.

Thanks though.

A typical 70k service (from a dealer) will cost around £200. Proberbly less from a specialist.
I did my own starter motor (£120 for the starter). but you should expect to pay upto £200 fitted.

The bigo service will come at around 80k, which should include the cambelt, waterpump and the service.I'll let somebody else scare you wit the cost for that one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif
