have always been an Audi fan. Got a few of the cars in the family, mainly all diesels though.
Recently bought an A3 1.8t quattro sport. Really nice, solid drive on her. Guys had it for like 8 years and only one prev owner which was a leasing company. Goes really nicely for a 1.8!
I was unsure of a few things..
What is the difference between a quattro and quattro sport in the model?
Also, which turbo does my car have? It's a w reg and on the logbook says it was first registered in june 2000. I have had a look under the bonnet and believe that the engine code is AUZ and it doesnt appear to be a cable driven unit?
Is it a ko3 turbo or a ko3s ?
I am thinking of getting a remap for the car and have been told about REVO and how good they're supposed to be. How good are AMD? The last 3 service stamps are from them and from what I've read, they're also meant to be pretty good at remaps?
What kind of power will I get from a custom remap? Not looking at mods such as exhausts etec. Car is going to be factory, may have an upgrade in brakes, alloy wheels and thats it.
