Been having a bit bother with my 2004 2.0tdi starting. Its been struggling to start every so often and the battery has died and I've had to bump start it once. So I took it to my local motorshop and they checked the battery and said it was fine and holding charge and they also checked the voltage or whatever over the started motor and said that was working..
Does anyone have any idea what else could be causing this? Sometimes it will struggle to start then the radio will be turned off as if the battery had died..

Does it struggle to start when warm or cold?

Um both I think. Most the time it starts fine it's just the odd few times

If it only does it when its over 70 degrees thats pretty normal

It's normal for the battery to die whilst trying to start the car ? Ha. It does it when trying to start from cold

Just got a new battery fitted, now all the warning signs are coming up on the DIS one after the other for some reason coolant low, bulb out, oil pressure etc..

anyone got any ideas ? havent got a clue why its doing that

Do they go out ? The computer cycles through a self test program when the ignition is switched on.

After battery disconnect you will have to clear all the faults first and hopefully they won't return.

Must just have been doing that, sorted now cheers
