ipod dock...what do you have

i want to put a permenant dock in my a3(prefacelift) and was wondering if any of you guys have done it and if so where have you put it?

ive got a usb lead that comes out of the back of the head unit drilled a hole in the compartment above the ashtray at the back and fead the wire through there.

really want to be able to dock it and was thinking of converting ashtray cause dont smoke

I use an xcarlink with Bluetooth Module, with my iPhone in a cradle. Works great. I have the CD changer in my Syphony, the Xcarlink with 600 MP3s, and can also stream via Bluetooth from the iPhone if I want. Also Handsfree for the phone.

For people on a budget like I was I got one of those casette to headphone jack tapes and a iPhone holder from tescos for a couple of quid, now have the phone mounted in centre of windscreen and wire up to the headphone jack.
Not the pretiest way of doing things but it works a treat!
Recommended if you want a solution for around a tenner!

I got a belkin one from Comet. Never done me wrong. Cost £50 couple of years back.
