Changing SRI Service Interval

I believe my car is on long life service, however I service it usually around the 8K miles mark, then reset it with Ross-tech. How do I change it to set interval service reminders ?

follow the instructions in the service book for resetting reminder
it will knock it off long life and be 365 days or miles depending on how its drove

or you can do it with vcds

I was planning on doing it with ross tech vcds, i have the cable. I thought doing a dash reset only did a basic reset? I want the dash to tell me in 8k it's time to service.

yep you can do that with vcds

I know. That's why i'm asking how I couldn't find the right how-to on the ross tech web site. Anyone have one ?

oh rite
plug in and on the 1st screen that comes up its in the far right corner SRI it says
clicky that and take it from there mines set at 6000

Thanks bez101, I understand that, but its changing it from long life to fixed life. I pressed the service check button 2 months ago and it said 1500 miles to next service.I made a mental note to service it this week, pressed the button again today and it still says 1500 to go. I thought i had sorted this the last time i did and SRI on vagcom... evidently not..

I want to know how to configure this screen,

1.9 Diesel engine.
