Removing EGR & fitting the delete kit. Is it worth it???

Hi,
Im hearing different stories regarding egr valves being removed on tdi pd engines. I will be having the car mapped soon and wondered if doing the egr job is actually worth it?

yes, worth it. stop ur intake getting clogged full of ***** and i noticed a slightly better throttle response. this was on my previous golf gt tdi. i used a blanking plate off ebay (£3.00... :-D), simple enough job! forget the deletion kit ********, big money better spent on a night out!
