Nearside sidelight bulb replacement

Guys, to replace the nearside sidelight bulb in my S3, do I need to disconnect & remove the battery? I can't see how else to get at it.

Problem is I don't have the radio code for the car. If I need to disconnect the battery, how do I re-activate the radio?

hi mate, i was in ur predicament when i bought my car. the driver side one is very easy to do. the passenger side one, i loosened the bracket for the battery and bob's your uncle! BUT what i did find on this side was that the bulb was stuck in the holder, and i had to yank it very, very hard to get it off: albeit with a set of plyers lol.

as for the radio code, if you look in your owner's manual, it tells you your dealer will supply if free of charge... and they do just take down your V5 and driver's licence for ID purposes, and they'll do it within 15 mins.
