Hey all :beerchug:

In Halfords yesterday noticed they now have a Haynes manual for 8P 2003 to 2008 A3. Been after manual 8P for while now. There priced up at £19.99
Just wondering if anyone been out and got one?
Or think there not worth the paper its wrote on?

Iv got one for my 8L they are usefull but not great for troubleshooting. If you know what needs doing and are going to do it yourself then its worthwhile getting one.

That's funny. I searched the web-sites of both Halfords, and Amazon but no sign of a manual for the 8P. There is one for the 8L and I believe some Audi A4's.

I've got the 8P manual, useful but only covers specific engines not the whole range.

If you're asking about the general Haynes Quality, then they're OK.
They're certainly no Bentley manual, but they're what... 1/6th the price or something!
I find mine to be reasonably accurate in it's info (B5 A4), it certainly hasn't steered me wrong. Could be a little more comprehensive - I used other sources additionally for the timing belt to ensure I had diagrams etc (it is severely lacking in diagrams).
You can usually find worthwhile manuals from the likes of PDFtown - not sure about 8P A3's though.

Cheers
