My car idles fine, but when slowing down at juctions the revs nose dive to 0 1 out of 10 times it will stale.

This has only started happening since I switched to super unleaded at BP could this be the problem checked pipes for leaks cant see anything.

COULD IT BE THE FUEL FILTER, CLEANED MAF SENSER AS WELL.

Any help greatly welcomed.:banghead:

Not likely to be fuel related. I would be looking for a vac leak first and foremost - they are typical vac leak symptoms.

All of the other comments. Could also be time to clean the throttle body

Hey Hoban-

I've got the same issue but only three minutes after starting from cold, and only for about 1 minute...

I can tell you that replacing the MAF for a brand new one did nothing. And that I have now reverted back to standard 95 octane fuel. After main dealers couldn't see it, I asked local specialist Autohaus to have a look- they couldn't see it either."technically" nothing wrong...

Thanks for the replys
I replaced pipe 06A-133-783-AS that comes from the inlet mani with some 13mm 90 degree silicone hose steady idle but when coming to a stop at juctions the revs nose dive and the car stalls 1 out of 10 times. every time I come up to a juction I am very paranoid not enjoying driving at the moment and this is my first audi my 205 gti was 20 years old worth £1000 and never let me down.

Going to get some intake spray my be the alternator belt and try some 95 fuel when i fill up.
