wiper fault

Problem after problem!!! no 1. alarm set off whenever it feels like it. no2. bonnet open light on when bonnet shut no 3. front wipers work on the move but do not when staitionry. no 4 front washes not working. hoping just bonnet microswitch any other solutions welcome as its sashing down withrain and wipers would be handy.cheers

Sounds like the microswitch to me. If you disconnect it and short the two wires in the plug together ( as if the switch was actually closed ) then you can test everything to see if they work. If they do, then it's the switch !

If not then you need a diagnostic scan to help you.

Chers mike problem found when circiut complete everything works as normal. Any suggestins on good parts suppliers. many thanks

Think you'll have to go to a dealer.

Microswitch part number ( needs checking ) should be :- 8P0 953 236 A

the wipers should go to intermittant when your statonary & start back up when you move off.

Thanks to all feedback, new micro switch fitted new wheel arch liner fitted.....am now a happy audi customer again.
