interesting thread, so will audi replace the chrome door trims then under warranty? ive tried allsorts to bring them back up to no avail!! am guesing you just ask them to change them under the anti corrosion warranty?
is the bonnet the same colour? if so i would grey scotch it off, if its a different colour you can still scotch off or wet flat with 800 as your basing the full bonnet! dont forget tho you will prob need to blend the top of the wings if you doing the full bonnet or if the colour is close to the...
minxy80 i am with you on this,i would not finish a dark car with g3 or fastcut plus they are too harsh,any decent painter will know how to finish it off properly!!! take it back and i am sure they will sort it! as you say most bodyshops use dry polish, its much cleaner and i find it much...
as above but just bear in mind that you get around four times the pressure from a polisher on a corner! as in the edge of the door mould, mirror,wing top etc!! paint will be polished off easy, just go steady you will be fine
hey mate if your front bumper is a bit dull and orange peely you can buff the dullness up with some g3 and then a nice wax! if your carefull you could wet flat the inner door handle apperture with 1500 but dont go too close to the edge or you will flat through, allso you will have to buff this...
how do you bring the chrome (alloy) door trims back to life once they have gone milky?? the ares around the edge of the door (where people close doors) are still shiny and nice? any ideas???
