Hello mate, have you managed to find the root cause and possible solution. I've got the exact same simptoms on my 2005 A3 Sportback with factory RNS-E and BT. It's cost me one battery already so if anyone else might help, please share the knowledge. I've got a VCDS if it needs any coding.
