Get it scanned with VCDS, it can be many different things. Is there no symptoms at all?

I have an 8p. not s3 tough. But i also had budget tyres on it, and it was a rolling hazard... If i wen't into a roundabout in 30 km/h (yes we norwegians dont use miles :P) i basicly drifted around it, all 4 tyres slipped.... Morale of this story, dont use crappy tyres, spending a few £ more...

An easy way to force this is to take it up a hill, full force on the throttle, if it's overboosting it will go into limp mode. and if you have to replace the turbo, be glad you don't live in norway... Here a new turbo fitted costs 2200£ :P

Ok, is this a part i can replace myself or do i have to take it to my local garage? This is an a3 tough, do they use the same parts?

Seems reasonable, but if it's the break switch is bad, shouldnt the breaklight be on at all times then ? will it show any error codes when u run diagnostics?

I have had this problem on my car too, i had to replace the MAF,it's placed on top of your airintake, next to the airfilter(atleast mine is) Try pulling the maf out and see if the problem still occours, if it doesn't, voila, you have located the problem. here is a picture of it:
