I don't have a boost gauge (well, I've just ordered one actually), but not at present. If I connect my gauge up when it arrives and set the actuator arm to produce 5-6 psi, I won't need to disconnect the n75 will I? Thanks

Prawn, thanks for your reply at these early hours of the morning :) The actuator is a genuine brand new borg warner one, correct for the turbo. The remap was by R-Tech, so very good as I'm sure you know! I'm situated near Norwich in Norfolk Thanks again chap!

Did you say that yours was doing what mine is dude? Fluctuating? My mechanic says my thermostat is okay, but I'm really not sure. I thought about getting a Haynes manual and tackling it - perhaps we could do it at the same time and share any problems on here?

Hi Nick. It had a brand new water pump October last year and as we spoke about, it had a brand new genuine ECT last week. It's having a brand new actuator fitted tomorrow, and I've asked my mechanic to inspect the thermostat...although as you say - worth doing anyway, it clearly isn't working...

Again, sorry for another post on temperature issues. I'm having my mechanic fit my wastegate actuator tomorrow, but also asked him to inspect the thermostat/fluctuating situation. I should have mentioned this before in the previous thread, but didn't see it as such an important issue...

I see, will ask my mechanic tomorrow evening when I drop it off whether or not they can carry out a test. I guess it must be the best way of noting leaks :)

Awesome, cheers guys! I take it you need specific software + diagnostic port-pin type to USB lead? It could prove very helpful in my hunt for loss of power (that is unless the actuator solves it)

How often should you replace spark plugs? I've never checked the ones in mine since owning the car :/ Has anybody found that certain manufacturer's plugs improve power over other manufacturer's? Just a curious, not very technical topic :)

Mine does cool down when travelling along on motorways/A roads. Must be the fact that air is howling into the radiator? It seems to warm up MUCH faster when you leave it ticking over outside your house rather than driving it?!?!

Yes haha. I'll turn my car off at 5:30 when I get in from work and it's still warm under the bonnet about 3 hours later....
