This is correct. Most Audi VWs do this. Most people just dont notice it. One of those noises, once you hear it you will always hear it. Like an annoying rattle is your car, you hear it but no one else does. lol

The buzzing noise is normal when the ignition is on. Can be a couple of different things. Usually coming from the throttle body but unless its a very loud noise you have nothing to worry about. As for your flat battery. Firstly id have the battery tested. If thats ok id have a drain test...

It should be an easy fix. We get alot of them in cold/damp weather too. As i said it only takes a tiny bit of water to cause it to bring on the warning light and set off the alarm. Golfs and A3 are quite prone to it.

This could be a very common problem with the switch which is built into the tailgate latch. What i would suggest you do is removed the trim on the rear door panel and inspect the small multi-plug onto the boot latch. Its just got a small micro switch built in which can get damp or water ingress...

Ill be honest. On the whole Audi' engines are very good and ive never had any problems with any of my previous. Modern diesel engines however when the do go wrong, normally turbo or fuel delivery side can be very expensive for parts. Im considering taking out a parts and labour warranty, RAC...
