So, in the time honoured tradition I figured I'd do the LED swap on my various internal lights. Being a Sportback with the light pack it means I have puddle lights and red door lights.

Went to do some general checkups and thought I'd look under the oil filler cap.
No problem there, until I went to refit it.
Look what happened - the whole filler neck sheared off!
Thankfully its under warranty and only 1 month in my ownership. Just have to get the damn thing to the garage...
So trying to modernise the light output from the OEM halogen units for the four puddle lights on my S3. Solution, LED replacements.
First attempt is replacement bulbs in OEM units. With the drivers door I managed to disconnect the bulb holder, but now I’m suffering at the mercy of a short loom...
So, I've posted on a couple of other places and a couple of people have pointed me here.
I have a slightly more noticeable than normal 'jolt' going from D2 to D1 in full auto. It is less of an issue in manual. A friend scanned for faults and came up with the attached image.
