Yeah, there are probably been less controversial places to post the pics :seenoevil:
The coupe is lovely but I have an 8 month old baby so not much use for getting him in & out.
Could have purchased one of the cheaper RS4's on the market but too dear for one with low mileage.
Mercs a 13 plate...
So after having the S3 for 8 months it did indeed turn out to be as "bland" as I thought so traded it in. Don't get me wrong, it's a great all round car and nippy enough but there was no thrill whilst driving and I felt quite disconnected from it. I've still got my B7 A4 for bombing about in so...
Each to their own. The PS3's on my A4 with 2mm left are better than my Conti's on the S3 which have only done 2k.
Would only consider goodyear eagle ays as an alternative.
I've had PS2's on every car since 2008 when I bought my first Leon, they were on it when I bought it and I've never looked...
I don't like sunroof's at all. I don't know what the last car was I had that had one.
MK2 had one right enough but I never used it for fear of it not sealing up again lol.
I see yours is well spec'd but to me(each to their own) none of them are worth the £, certainly not paying £1k for one...
It's a decent size, still 5ft at the front with the S3 in, little less with the A4.
Need to get a shed sorted to get all "non garage related" items out, bike, mower, strimmer etc.
Mine started rusting from 1 week old!!
I completely remove the disk though and mask it off and spray paint them using this stuff, it's the business!

Did all four discs. Love working on new cars, no...
Ok maybe not bland but for as S3 it's bland.
Only the wheels & exhaust separate it from any S-line.
Even the RS3 is a tad bland though imho.
Tyre wise it's Michelins all the way from me too although PS2's over PS3's as long as I can get them.
Just bought a full set of PS2's for the A4, still...
Here's my S3 8v, bought it new from Highland Audi back in April.
Pretty bland really and not as good on the road as my old S3 8P3 but that could be the crappy Continental tyres that it's been supplied with!
Only at 2500 miles so far and the engine is starting to get more lively now!
Took the car in for master tech to have a look at the rear end of the car.
On uneven road the rear is all over the place!
Hit any bumps or potholes and it seems to take a big sideways lunge.
Going in on 13th to possibly get the dampers changed?
Anyone else ever had this?
Car is 2011 with19k on...
My book says nothing about 5 years just 140000 miles.
It will be 5 years old at the start of next year but will only have circa 25000 on the clock.
I think the S3 had 32000 on it @ 5 years when I got the belt done.
Funny that it doesn't mention age.
I don't think you can compare an 8J TTS to an 8V S3, it probably is better but they are a generation apart.
We went from an 8P S3 to the TTS and it's a lot better although the S3 is an excellent all rounder.
I believe the 8V S3 is a big leap forward so it'll be interesting to see what the new...
It's SO not that simple!
They share a lot of hardware but having just gone from an S3 to a TTS they are light years apart!
S3 is just a hot hatch at the end of the day, TTS is so much more focused on the road.
Thanks for the comments, over the moon with the looks now.
Still half thinking about fixed spoiler to finish it off but worried it will be too TT-RS look-a-likey.
I don't do look-a-likey!!
