Good afternoon chaps,
Some may remember the thread where I was looking for some engine mounts to replace my friends sad, worn out BFI mounts.
We ended up going for the Vibra-Technics road version mounts.
I wanted to ask the community how did you guys align the Vibra-Technics engine mounts...
Nurburgring doesn't really compare to other tracks tbh.
I had 3 other tracks experiences before Nurburgring in Spain and none of them compared to Nurburgring.
I'd say the Nordschleife is best compared to hillclimbs and windy B roads.
Best is to memorize the track on a video game, watch...
Hello Chaps
I am helping a friend source some new Engine Mounts for his decade old 1.8T Big Turbo setup after the first revision BFI mounts gave up. See pic below
Of course, there are other brands nowadays but the main ones we're looking at are;
034 Motorsport
BFI
Vibra Technics

Correct! I am not mapped for it, just use it as cooling as I have a twin pass FMIC painted in black... Lol. So in the Spanish heat in Mallorca it doesn't do too well... I am running 1 nozzle pre throttle body - post intercooler.
I will probably go back to the 50/50 but the 60/40 was quite fun...
Mmmmmm, quite strange no? I seriously wonder what would have caused this. Normally the PCV system is full of junk but after the mountain run, nothing!
Didn't notice a difference! Well, maybe also partially because I was pumped with adrenaline flying through the corners at 70mph on a narrow...
Good day chaps,
Just had this strange happening occur. Yesterday went for a mountain with a couple of my friends (one has a Stage 2 Seat Cupra MK2, other a Renault Megane RS Stage 1, another small frame turbo e46) and I went through my whole WMI reservoir on about a 20 mile hill climb route...
You may want to look into the WMI. The positives outweigh the negatives. You could even just run a 100 percent blend of water if you're afraid of things catching fire.
WMI can seriously help lower IAT and EGT
Little update
So the tank of half 98 and the other half 95/E10 was filled up to the top with 95/E10 after it hit the halfway mark. I get the feeling that 95/E10 may consume more/poorer fuel mileage.
On the tank of half 98 and half 95/E10 I was able to do 550km with the needle just under the...
Yes, I've been driving a lot since arriving in France last week. I clocked 600 miles in the past 3 days so if I could save 4 quid everytime filling up that would be nice.
But not if it's detrimental to the car
Decided to revive this thread,
I am currently in France and here they offer either 95 or 98 petrol. And E85 ofcourse. The 95 petrol is E10. There is a sticker on the pump of the 95 that it has 10 percent Ethanol/E10. 98 doesn't have any Ethanol sticker. 95 E10 is about 12 cents cheaper per...
