I guess it depends on who nicked it - if it was some kids who just thought it was a sporty looking car that would be good to thrash around for a few days, then I would have expected it to have been abandoned somewhere by now.
If it was someone that knows a bit about cars and mods, it could have...
Funny you should say that mate - I put out a message on both Facebook & Instagram asking people to share, and to let me know if they see it; and I got a message from a friend Saturday afternoon to say he thought he had seen my car heading towards Gravesend.
I contacted British Transport Police...
Morning all,
It’s been a while since I’ve posted on here, and it’s not good news I’m afraid!
My modified 3-door Ibis White Audi S3 (LR59 VEL) was stolen from Barming Train Station car park yesterday (Maidstone, Kent area).
It was heavily modified, so I’m not sure if it will be...
Morning all,
Like prt57, I also had a conversation with @BCS Nige a while back, and he explained that the 200 Cell Cat they use gives a true ratio of 85mm - so a greater flow rate area than a 76mm Cat delete.
Max Read - it's also worth considering the potential insurance/MOT issues that you...
Hi Alex,
Sorry to hear that the new turbo won't fit, but it sounds like Nortech are on the case and are very determined to make it happen - which is great news.
As a side-note, I couldn't help but smile at the thought of the new bigger turbo being too big to actually fit in the engine bay...
Tell me about it - my car's booked in with Audi Maidstone next weekend.
£309 for the service and £549 for the cambelt and water pump.
That's £858 smackers in one hit.
I'll be able to save a bit by not requiring the air filter and spark plugs that they quoted me for, but it's still a fair whack...
I love reading your updates - I just wish I had your skill, knowledge, and expertise!
I would have loved to fit all of my mods myself, but I can just about cope with topping up the oil.
Good luck with it all mate, it's coming along nicely... :-)
Hi lucky_bob,
I had the Revo engine mount kit fitted a few days before the Rolling Road Day at AmD Essex last year.
The NVH levels when I first had them fitted were pretty shocking - especially when engaging 1st gear and pulling away from a standstill. The car honestly felt like it was...
Hi Alex,
I'm looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these brakes, as I really should start thinking about replacing my standard brakes too.
Good luck with it pal, and keep us posted... :-)
No worries pal - I guess just to be sure you could phone up Audi with the reg of the car and ask them to quote you for a replacement Haldex Clutch Pump (plus fitting); as a heads-up just in case.
At least then you'll know how much it could set you back if it's on it's way out...
My local Audi Dealership actually replaced mine under warranty; despite the car being remapped to Revo Stage 2+ - so I had a small stroke of luck!
So I'm not exactly sure of the cost I'm afraid...
A good test to see if you have a faulty Haldex Clutch Pump?
From my experience, with the TC still enabled, I'd be tempted to drive in a straight line at a modest speed in 2nd gear and try flooring it.
If the Traction Control light flashes constantly for the duration of the the foot-plant, and...
I previously had Michelin Pilot Sport 3's fitted to my S3, and I now have Michelin Pilot Super Sports fitted.
They're both excellent, so it won't be your tyres...
If there was a problem with the Haldex Clutch Pump, you would certainly know about it; as the traction control light would be coming on pretty much every time you put your foot down in most gears.
My Haldex Clutch Pump needed replacing, and in the 2 to 3 weeks it took me to get it replaced I...
