Been ringing round and surfing for a couple of hours now and have whittled it down to £72.89 a month with Admiral.

which I think is not that good considering that I am 27 with 3years NCD

I have been paying £80 a month for two years now i expected it to drop a bit more this year :(

Mines up for renewal too. Tesco wanted more this year but esure quoted me £485. Which is a small amount less than last year.

I think you are ticking a bad box somewhere Effect.

I've got a £1900 A3 tdi, I had an accident a year and half ago(I only have 1 years no claims), its parked on the street in the city centre, I'm a single male aged 29 and I drive a lot of miles.
I'm paying £387.

Have you tried Adrian Flux?

There is also another forum with an insurance deal, am I allowed to mention them?

Do you have a girlfriend you could try putting on the policy ? I've been looking recently and Admiral gave me the best quote to...£430 per year, however if I add my missus it drops to £330ish strangely enough...

I found that direct line was the cheapest by a long way, 2 years ncb, 24 and pay £560 fully comp

Just put any female(preferably with a clean licence) on the policy and it usually drops.

Have you also had a look in the Insurance forum, there's a few tips in there. ;)

i do have uprated suspension but I dont think that makes a huge difference.

28yr old 3yrs ncb on S3 £283 with admiral.

£476 on 2009 lotus elise SC 6yrs ncb. with bell

both policies are conciderably cheaper because i put my fiance on
them :icon_thumright:

I just got my insurance with Sky Insurance (0870 11 21 759) on my S3. £391.00 fully comp (£250 excess) with my mods declared (remap, adjustable coilovers, alloys, air filter, exhaust, uprated brakes and divertor valve). Also it is with a named driver and protected no claims.

I am 30 yrs old, 9 yrs no claims, no accidents, no claims.

Admiral messed me around with my mods and told me they could not insure me anymore.

I wish BT would sell insurance. They offer staff rates on every other product they do(sometimes free).

Im beaten every quote on here with mine, 1999 S3, alocated parking, 26 with no NCB, and i pay sod all. Gaffa's traders policy, social, domestic, pleasure and he pays. Ner ner.

But does it cover for theft and fire damage? I had Traders policy not too long ago myself, but not anymore due to reccesion. I still had a seperate policy for my S3 for the full works, just as a precaution.

I think so, or i hope so !! I know since the reccesion we have had to list our own/courtesy/pool cars and they are parked outside so i would have thaught so.

well direct line were looking favourite]
£624.25
BUT when I tell them I have uprated suspension it jumps to
£825.30

thats one heck of a price hike :(

mines £680 with all mods declared, lowder and remap.

thats with greenlight

mine dropped £1000 when i put my rents on. but when i changed it to my dad being 1st named driver and my mum 2nd it went up instead. how wierd is that.

Im paying £550 all mods declared in London. 26, 6 years NCB protected.
