Well i've done the deed, on Friday evening, which was also my birthday, on a pretty little bridge in Venice I got down on one knee & proposed to my lovely girlfriend, so i've now got a lovely fiance instead

Been plotting for a couple of months and pleased it finally all came off well without feeling like a prat! Planning a wedding for February 09 so not a lot of time to organise so we're on the case already plotting & planning stuff! Cost is bouncing off my theoretical budget already so my plan of selling my motorbike to upgrade to something a little newer is out the window in favour of selling the bike still to avoid having to borrow money for the wedding. A cheap run about to keep me going for a year or so will have to surfice in the meantime, better than nothing though ultimately I think. Not the ideal plan obviously but unless my lottery numbers come up darn quick its the way to go. Just pleased she said yes to be honest, although now my life will be a pit of living misery no doubt with lady farts & baby talk filling the air at every moment with death my only chance of salvation..........................couldnt be happier though!!

Well done mate, glad she said yes !! Thats not long to plan, Mine complained i have only given her a year to plan it,lol

Well Done, I've been engaged for 8 years lmao

Congrats !!! how romantic and so sweet..
Best of luck with the weddin stuff..
Have you both got a place in mind to get married

Congratulations
Venice! soppy git

so, you went thru with it then... well done!

Congrats to you both... happiness and all that for the future.

Well done fella - I got married in February 2006, and things are cheaper at that time of year because the wedding industry isn't in full swing! Just make sure most of it is indoors, although our day was warm enough to nip out for a few photos before it got too cold.

Congratulations mate :)

Sounds like you had it all planned well... My rather basic plan went out of the window and 'the deed' was done a day early... I guess it doesn't matter how it happens so long as the answer is a yes though :)

All the best bud,

Rob.

Cheers all, its exciting times! Doing some rapid planning at the moment, she's dress shopping and im thinking about a wedding car!! Been thinking of getting something like a big german saloon on the cheap eg a 1 day car rental but its proving a little tricky to find something local & convenient. Dont know anyone with a suitable car I can borrow so dont suppose anyone out there has or knows someone with an A6/BMW 5-series/E or S class Merc in the Andover area that fancies a couple of quid for driving me & the missus away from the church in Feb??!! I'd throw in a free car wash if needed too!!

Congratulations mate...
good to hear about this and you sound really pleased and excited.
Really sweet place to do it aswell
