Dimming mirror and rain sensor loom

Hi all,

So I've got a rain and light sensor in my S3, but I wanted to fit dimming mirrors.

I've been looking on line and I'm a bit confused with which loom to get.

Some have 6 pins, some have 8. Some have 3 wires, some have 5. Some also have the rain sensor as part of the same loom.

So which part do I need? 8 pin, 4 wire?

Assuming that it's not going to be used for high beam assist then the four wires are enough, two for power, one to the BCM and one to roof light dome (actually two wires are enough to power it and make it work, though not like OEM if the other two wires are missing). If in the future you also want dimming side mirrors it will require extra wires.

hi q2us3r do you have the wiring diagram for the auto dimming to work i have the mirror and the wiring but not the know how to wire it up to the front led dome light

Sure, the pin diagram of the dimming mirror is:

1 - +VCC (Ignition Live / Fuse F35)
2 - GND
3 - signal from reverse light (connect to T73B/11 on BCM J519 - already in use, need to splice)
4 - dimming signal to exterior mirrors (pin 2 on T27a door disconnector)
5 - dimming signal do exterior mirrors (pin 3 on T27a door disconnector)
6 - signal from roof light (connect to T8/7 OR T16/12 in the roof module depending on equipment)
