Aeb tuning

Can't be live mapped without a special bit of kit, only know of 1 of these. Seems to be a case of write the file, upload, record, adjust, rewrite.

Finally got hold of a agu ecu but the number on it is 06a 906 018 r is that right any help would be appreciated

Morning
I have a a4 b5 1.8t aeb I have a k04 and 369cc injectors I wish to put on but been struggling to find someone who will tune it after? 1 tuner advised a piggy back ecu but he doesn't have the time to do it he says is this a option to improve my chances of getting it tuned any advise would be greatly appreciated tia
I had mine re-mapped years ago by an Upsolute agent, involves taking ECU out a soldering in a new chip. He had all the service mount tools and it works well for what it costs.

got agu ecu to go in now just finding some were to remap/chip it now

been told few places think was mrc and unicorn as r tech don't do the aeb and are moving away from 1.8t infavor of tfsi stuff so been told trp in Walsall to try

Unicorn will and Rick properly knows his stuff. RTech didn't want to touch mine probably as it has a whole lot of unknown to them factors. Which is fair enough really.

r tech is local to me so kind of gutted but trp in Walsall near Birmingham was recommended by r tech and can map b5s aeb included

Is it possible to use a remapped agu ecu on a aeb as been told it is but I'm not convinced so thought I'd put it out their

the turbos arent the same and i wouldnt want to run anything more than a stage 1 AGU tune on an AEB.

If you want 2+ then you can have an AGU ecu custom tuned to match your car.

Stuggling even with the agu ecu on offer

Have you had any dealings with blackcode or stealth racing

Following all the aggro found out the ECU was damaged when the old cars wiring went up. Long story short I now have a wideband ECU to go in and a few more wiring tweeks to make.

If you (properly) delete the VVT from the tune, i think all you have to do is add a few wires for the extra pins on the wideband lambda connector.

Some of the guides seem to show wiring in the VVT pins, then putting a resistor on it, but this is stupid when it can simply be turned off in the tune.

Sean will be working his magic and has already mentioned removing the VVT aspects. Just need to add 2 wires and swap/rewire the lambda sensor for an LSU 4.9 (I think it is)

yeh. You can buy the plug from the dealer or snip it out of a car at the scrappy. I actually bought one as i was going to convert an APU harness before i found the AWT one. Might still have it in the garage?

LSU4.9 might be the later type, i think it might be LSU4.2 you need. I just ordered one for a TT225 i think. 1K0998262F is used on the TT and the B6 A4, so that should be what you need :)

Ah cool, brother said 4.2 but I had 4.9 in my head for some reason.

Sorted on the plug as my brother has a few of these plugs kicking about the workshop.
