Hi help needed please

Great forum!

Car is a 56 plate 8p 2.0 tdi 170 sportback. Not sure engine code (where do i find this)

I have various fault codes, air mass meter, engine speed sensor, controll module fault, throttle position. Flashing glow plug lamp. Engine will start sometimes and run perfect for few minutes then cut out and wont restart just turns over. Other times will start and rev counter will dance all over the place and wont rev past 3k.

Rac came out and did scan. Will post pic of read out

Help please

When I had fault codes, I'd type them into google to see what other people had done when they had the same codes, especially as what you might not find on this forum, you might find on a VW forum, or Seat, Or skoda! (or even dodge?!)

I could be wrong but I think your engine code might be BMN

I would check all your grounds tbh - seen bad grounds throw out all sorts of electrical issues

Yes i think bmn rings a bell, thanks.

Checked the grounds around the battery, 3 in total. Are there more and where please.

Anyone have a grounding points diagram for BMN engine and where i will find important relays etc to check also location of multifunction control module.

Any help greatly appreciated

Yeah that looks like a power issue to me, speculative remotely.

There's grounds in each foot well behind the side pillar trim, few under bonnet, ideally common location from a schematic may help or of course a relay or a fuse but given the symptoms, it looks like a conducting issue.

Its a case of follow the dotted line.
