Hi Everyone,

First post here after following the forum for a while.

I'm looking to pull the trigger on an S4 and I was wondering what sort of discount people would expect to receive on the following build:

S4
Misano Red
Adaptive Suspension
Advanced key
Folding mirrors
Dynamic steering
Hill hold assist
Light & Vision Pack
Quattro sports diff
4 year warranty

Total list price £51,070

I will be trading in my current car for £6,000 or maybe selling privately for a bit more. Then getting a 4 year PCP with 15k miles per year.

Also is there anything in my spec that isn't worth having, or anything missing that I really should have.

I'm in Sussex so are there any dealerships to avoid, or ones that people can recommend?

Thanks in advance for the assistance.

Before we settled on the A4 recently, my wife & I were also thinking about the VW Tiguan

I registered for four internet brokers , gave them all a standard spec to quote from, and received back within a couple of days max these results, making it really easy to compare

It'd be well worthwhile trying something similar for your preferred spec

Check out car wow. I compared DTD, CTC and at the time , carwow gave best - that might have changed. The highest discount I saw on an S4 avant was 16%. Spread was 7-16% across multiple dealers. Factor in convenience - cheapest was in the highlands - fine, but a 400 mile drive and flight up etc... I went with local dealer , who didnt quote on carwow but matched (not the best but ended up with about 12-13 % but I'm happy to sacrifice 2% for convenience of locality and building relationship with local dealer)...

As above, I get 13% and used C2C to get the best deal from my local dealer (Norwich Audi), paid £10pm more but worth it using my local dealer and bought my current S3 from them so hoping to build a good relationship.

Presume yours is a saloon?

As for options you've got some good ones ticked. I personally didn't go for dynamic steering but did opt for sport diff and adaptive.

Hill hold assist is worth it for the money.

What about privacy glass, it's a nice touch in my opinion?

Hi Guys,

Thanks for the advice, I've tried carwow but will give the others a trial. I would prefer to deal straight with the dealer than through a broker, but can use those prices to get a better deal from the local dealership.

Currently I've been offered less than 10% discount on that spec so going for a bit more off.

Not that bothered by tinted windows, and not at over 400.

It's the Avant version.

That's exactly what I did... I took the carwow offers to my local dealer (who didn't quote on carwow) & asked them for a reasonable offer - told them that they didn't need to match the best as I valued locality, but needed to be reasonably competitive ... and we went from there, they will very quickly tell you if in the right ballpark. I had a few more options to you, but similar spec overall...

I went back to the dealer today armed with some offers and managed to get just short of 8k off the list price, so a saving of 15.5%.

Very happy and delivery in November as they had a build slot available. I can't wait to get it.

Thanks for the advice.

I'm getting mine in September. My local dealer wouldn't match the carwow quotes so I'm going up to Derby to pick it up. I went for a stock car in the end which had most of the extras I wanted as I didn't want to wait for a factory order.

Jealous of you guys getting your car's sooner, the only stock cars around had no options, apart from one in Cambridge that had everything and was way out of my budget.

Busy few months coming up as getting married so think it will fly by.

Depends what options you wanted I suppose. My local dealer said they had 20 in group stock (M25 Audi group) to choose from and I got one with the Comfort & Sound and Light & Vision packs that I wanted.

Got told by the dealer that my build week will be week 50, which is a bit later than I was told when placing the order, but early January delivery actually works out a bit better for us. I'm just inpatient and will be counting down the days.

Hi

Was that 8k including a PCP Finance Contribution which is currently £3150...?

Thanks.

Yeah it was including the finance contribution, it's all down on the invoice as contributions.
