Facelift Jassy's S3-RS3 MY18 Build thread with Exclusive colours

Yeah the RS6 looks great in any colour mate, thing with grey paints the likes of Nardo they're contemporary in fashion with car makers like ford, VW,BMW, Mini but they're all still rare on the roads and will date quicker than most other colours??

It'd have to be a Sepang RS6 Performance for me, anyone have £115k I can have? lol

This is the one I had in Wolfsburg, pretty much fully loaded (dynamic plus package, lots of carbon, bang & olufsen, HUD, front/rear cameras, pan roof etc)

Was staying in the Ritz Carlton onsite at the Autostadt and see they had an RS6 Performance package (room upgraded to a suite and you could have the car daily or for the entire stay but charged daily) on their website, had to upgrade to that then lol only had the car the first day as we had plans the other days we were there, what a machine though. The Mrs doesn't like going fast so after we'd gone out and had the picnic hamper I went out again for a high speed autobahn run, managed close to 170mph :sunglasses:

This was the hamper lol

Definitely, wasn't cheap but then I'd have regretted not doing it. The room and everything was awesome! If you ever get chance to go out and drive an RS6, bite their hand off!

Lol.... In my personal opinion of course

The RS3 was fast mate, great feel of torque as it pulled past 40/50mph....and up to....the speed limit.... Aye right....lol great sound very deep sounding aswell, still had some traits of the S3"s dead steering
The TTRS is instant speed mate, the thing just wants to rock from the word go.......it pulls off the mark faster than the RS3..... Train like.....

Summation.... the RS3 is awesome loved it

The TTRS is down right devastating........ It's a mini R8 and sounds like one, not many cars will beat it off the mark and then some, l drove the roadster which is heavier and it didn't have the sports exhaust but it still popped and banged.... Dread to hear it with it..lol the thing with the ttrs is you don't expect a car like this to be as fast as a R8 V10 plus but it is...where buying a R8 you would, launch control is....well l think you know my next words, also worth a mention on 2 points the TTRS's steering is very very direct point and shoot, suspension very hard

TOP review mate!....best I've read yet....sign this man up for Top EVO Gear Womans Weekly right now!! lol
So I think I already know the answer....you would have the RS3 in a heartbeat, as it does handle better than S3?.....or just the engine/speed won you over?
I think I felt the same when I drove the TTS....drives like its on rails....very responsive...very special...can't imagine how much better the TTRS is but I think you're right....its a supercar widowmaker.
Out of further interest, did both cars you drive have magride?

The TTRS l drove had no magride just standard 19"s as most cars given to the UK did and where low specced ,don't know if magride would make it more daily driver friendly, but with 20's fitted it would definitely need magride

RS3 is all about the engine, exhaust, sound & power .... in a usable practical everyday package.

The TTRS adds sublime light weight handling to the mix. But is much less practical.

@jassyo06 did you stick with a Sportback or cave in and order the minicab?!

Yeah went for the saloon mate, pointless getting 1 sportback after another, tierd of the sportback shape as well, although saying that the sportback and hatchback do suit strong colours better

Your right about "A change is good", but I also agree with your comment about the bold colours suiting the Sportback.

Either way, you'll not be disappointed.

Yeah but there's a wee twist in the spec as to speak, I've added matrix candles over the original order form..... Can't say more than that... ATM??????

When you get that really nice optioned saloon. I will be interested in your comparison to the overall feel of the saloon to the sportsback with no mag-ride or supersport seats.

Yeah hopefully it'll be a huge driving improvement mate, l know the super sport seats don't offer much more support over the standard seats but l don't like a full black interior so the red stitching everywhere should lift the interior a little....it's the paint colour l am really looking forward to seeing..... Think it will just shout out midlife crisis to everyone lol

To quote myself l had decided to pay for the matrix headlights cash rather than have them added to the monthly cost/payments, keeps the monthly at £400 and also no interest added

Good point. if you are planning a re-map & RS6 alloys then a performance exhaust would finish it off VERY nicely
If they deliver to you and its on a trailer / transporter then I would be inclined to let them do that.
If they have to drive it then I would possibly go and get it myself.
That said I have heard some comments on excellent delivery drivers.
Some even showing you the DIS economy and average speed so you are assured it hasn't been abused in any way.
