Anyone has any idea where to look please? Preferably switched 12v wire that I can tap into instead of running it from the fuse box... Thanks!

The 12v cigar lighter socket is switched as far as I can remember from when I was messing with a dashcam there

I added a trunk/boot 12 volt outlet to mine but I couldn't readily find anything to tap into that would handle a decent amount of current (all of the constant power cables were pretty thin). I added a back seat 12 volt outlet to the back of the center console (underneath the vents, so the kids can charge their devices) and then extended from there to the trunk. It runs to the fuse box and used an open and un-switched spot in the fuse block. If you're going to draw anything over a couple of amps of current, that's probably the safest bet, even if it is a long pull, IMHO. If you use a VW/Audi 'repair wire' that corresponds to the right size in the fuse block and wrap the cable in cloth electrical tape you can just about make the retrofit look stock. I used the VW 12 volt ports with the hinged integral cover to keep stuff from falling into the ports when not in use.

@asmetana yours isn't an A3/S3 then I guess?

My first post was because the S3 Saloon (I know for sure) has a back seat 12v and boot/trunk 12v from the factory

@azibux1 Reasonably confident mine is an A3 (2015, US-spec 'premium plus', 2.0 (220bhp) Quattro, sedan/saloon/limousine). Only the 'Prestige' trim levels in the US come with the back seat and trunk/boot 12 volt ports. Maybe that A3 on the registration and the deck refer to something else... ;-)
