So i ordered this kit from here

https://www.cleanandshiny.co.uk/collections/zaino/products/zaino-total-protection-show-car-kit

and it comes with this lot:

  • 1x ZFX™ Flash Cure Accelerator Additive
  • 1x Z-2 PRO™ Show Car Polish for Clear Coated Car Finishes
  • 1x Z-5 PRO™ Show Car Polish for Swirl Marks and Fine Scratches
  • 1x Z-6™ Ultra Clean Gloss Enhancer Spray
  • 1x Z-7™ Show Car Wash
  • 1x Z-18™ ClayBar
  • 1x Zaino Metallic Silver Decal
  • 2x Zaino Custom Polish Applicator for FREE
So obliviously you'd use Z-7 first, then onto the claybar, but what order next? Is it worth using Z-2 as well as Z-5? Also is it worth buying Z-8 to use at the end?

Done a bit of detailing in years gone by:

Need to get the S4 looking as good as i'm sure it can!!

hi, i love the zaino stuff, I really rate the Z2 on metallics (it suited my golf r32 really well) and Z8 is my go to Quick detailer, its expensive but never found anything as good, offers no protection but its plenty of gloss.

as you say wash the car down, then clay bar it. Z5 hides swirls and is a polish as such, and is pretty easy to use, so if the cars been maintained well and doesnt have swilrs id just go straight to Z2 (two coats about 30 mins apart). then Z6 as a top up or Z8.

the ZFX is additive which makes it cure quicker. it can be added to the z5 or the z2 once you have mixed the ZFX in the bottles you need to wash them out well otherwise there useless as it goes off. fairly liquid cleans them out so only need to make up small batches.

Thanks for the reply.

I know normally id was with the Z-7, but as i'm planning to strip it all back as such & start again, should I use something stronger to start the process off with?

Cheers,

Russ

maybe post some pics up, if your going to wash and clay bar it then use 5 as long as its light swirls they shoudl be fine. Otherwise get the paint corrected and then should be easy to maintain.

opps, let me try that again, correct spelling this time:

If your stopping back the clay bar will take care of that... Can also use fairy liquid that does a good job of removing wax

So I was fighting with the "warm" rain on Saturday, so I have ended up with a few water marks being sealed in, but you can only see that when up close.

Washing up liquid wash down to start with, claybar'd with watered down Meguiars Generation Nxt car wash. Then 2 coats of Zaino z-5, then 1 of z-2.

Come up ok considering the weather:

and then a bit of auto correction magic from Google photos:
