ok so fitted a boost gauge yesterday (not the tidest) but it works ok. Its a mechanical gauge and with engine of doesnt quite sit at 0 about .1 bar out so with that in mind i am hitting full boost at 0.7 bar and superkarl mentioned it should be about 0.8 bar. He mentioned disconnecting n75 valve which i gather will just use actuator pressure with this disconnected it boosted to 0.4 bar, is that normal? Should i be worried losing 0.1 bar somewhere?
Thanks lee

I wouldn't be too concerned by 0.1 bar (1.4psi) in all honesty. What sort of age/condition is the engine/turbo?

Gauge could be inaccurate... cheaper ones are known to be...

You would ideally need to log data using VCDS...

While its plausible that the actuator has gone a little soft over time the ECU will compensate by upping N75 duty to meet the requested boost... logging will confirm what the ECU is seeing and requesting...

My money is on the gauge being inaccurate though

Well according to clocks chassis is on 83k as for engine and turbo couldnt say if they been changed or anything. Pulls nice and strong in gears though.
