Hi Everyone.

Quick Intro... I had a A1 Black Edition (62), then A6 saloon (13) and then an A6 Estate Black Edition (63). All these were shared with the wife, she then decided she wanted her own car again.....2 months after id brought the A6 estate.
Anyway, this meant downgrading and finding something smaller, but i wanted more power, so after researching "hot hatches" I chose a brand new 64 plate Fiesta ST. Its been a fun little car but I desperately miss the Audi Brand and Quality.
Last April I put a deposit down on an S1 sportback, but had a change of heart a couple of weeks later and cancelled.

I am now looking at putting a deposit down on a new MY18 S3 Saloon.
So heres my question...what sort of percentage are people getting off these right now?
I dont want to fall for the old line from the dealer "we dont have much of a margin on these". They tried this one when i originally ordered my S1.
Ive checked on Carwow and the best ive had come back is 9% but its 200 miles away. The rest are around 5-6%.

Will be going for PCP, most likely 4 years to keep the monthly costs down as deposit will only be £3-4k.

Thanks for any replies.

I got 11.1% on an Ara Blue Sportback Black Edition

I was quoted 7.9% via carwow, but after a month or so back and forward to my local dealership (bristol) I achieved 10.8 %
( MY 18 BE s3 saloon )

14% at Maidstone Audi. S Line 1.4 TFSI :) carwow.

Thanks.

So around 10-11% seems acheivable.
That makes it more afforable and wife friendly.

Im booking my test drive for Friday so will see what we say after that.
I am very stubborn and will dig my heels in to get what i want, if i dont i'll just walk away. I did this when i ordered the S1. Got such a good deal i felt awful cancelling.

I managed 12.8% but that included the £2500 finance contribution.

Just brought CAR WOW and broker prices with me.

Don't sign until they do at least 10%. I'm under the impression they even make profit on anything up to 16% discounted.

Deposit contributions for the s3 saloon are only £600 now, and if you add the £400 MY18 price hike for the saloon......

still achievable to get were you want to be,

dig those heals in mate !!

When I ordered last month I managed to get 13.9% off (including Deposit Contribution) on a S3 3Door Black Edition which was fairly close to my broker quote.

I would recommend Coast2Coast cars as a way to obtain the best discount price and use that as a bargaining chip at a local dealer, tried numerous online brokers but they seemed the cheapest. Also if you request a quote a dealer calls you back directly and confirms in writing which a lot of other brokers don't do.

Discounts are getting lower but are also linked to which part of the UK you live in,down south higher than up the north LAD....lol and it's also dependant on the cost of the model/options /variant, 10% your doing well

We got 16% off on a PCP deal last September (including the various Audi contributions) on a new FL 3dr S3. Achieved through carwow after playing three dealers off against each other.

Thanks for the Coast2Coast recommendation, they're £400 cheaper than drivethedeal which was the cheapest I saw previously. The black edition car of the same spec I'm looking for is only £900 more on Coast2Coast than normal spec, would that be a no brainer? Why would you need the quote confirmation in writing?

I got 9% discount on a Black Edition Saloon (including finance contribution at the time) from Bolton Audi. I think 8-12% is your target :)

A copy of my Coast 2 Coast email quote was sufficient for my local dealer but I did actually receive a written finance quote from a dealer working through Coast 2 Coast at a later date.

One of the advantages of a BE is you'll get privacy glass and B&O as standard but the chrome vs black trim is personal preference.

I wasn't going to spec privacy glass but was speccing B&O, hence BE being £900 more than standard car with B&O specced. Was going for Ibis white and think it looks better with chrome, for the price of black edition I can get the pan roof so might do that. I also don't like the B&O wheels. I got the email quotes now so I'll show them to my local dealer and see what they can do.

Up here in Scotland if you went into a Audi dealership with a quote from all above mentioned car buying sites, they would just laugh....and say no chance....You'd be lucky getting 8-9% on factory build up here, hence if l buy another Audi l will use Carwow or the likes

The coast2coast discount I got was 13%, which looking at this thread, seems reasonable. The best carwow give me is 10%. Might have better chance of getting an Audi dealer to match it at the end of June but I'll give it a try this week anyway.
