Well 3 weeks into ownership of my new ( to me ) a3 saloon, I've gone and damaged my bumper.

Turned around in my mothers street, went up onto someone's drives and as i reversed off I heard a noise, the under side of the front bumper caught the kurb. Damage isn't that bad really.

Just want some pointers in the right direction for a repair. Ideally I don't want a full spray as I had bother with my old car and the colour match. Plus the spray jobs near me never seem to be near factory standard.

If I was to take it into a Audi dealer ship do you think they would do a better job?? Or if I was to order a new bumper from audi would it come sprayed from the factory or would they spray it onece it got to the dealership ??

Could be wrong but looks like you may just be able to replace the black part if that's all that's damaged.

It's the actual bumper that's damaged. But I agree could have been a lot worse.

A better picture will help but looking at that it looks to be in a good place to blend in, they should be able to fade it from where the crease line is.

I wouldn't be looking at a new bumper, the risk of removal /fitment could risk other damage, there could be a difference in (slight) colour and messing with parking sensors etc will add some cost and extra stress.

Yeah you can't really tell from standing looking at the car. So a smart repair might be in order along the whole bottom of the bumper.

A decent smart repair will do that section only and a few inch after it just to blend it in, the less paint the better........... as things go it's in the best place possible and won't cost a fortune.
Just do your homework where to take it, there a lot of painters that can't paint or don't prep to right and that causes more issues (well it does if you have my OCD)

That's the hard part. Finding someone decent around my area. I'm very fussy with how things look. My old car was a silver and was a right pain to match. Hopefully Daytona will be slightly easier

Yeah silver is a really hard colour to match!

If no one comments with a recommendation maybe try audi and see who they use, failing that I'd call a local detailer with a good reputation. Given their trade they should know someone local who they'll maybe recommend.

Good luck getting sorted pal

Cheers matey, I hate having any paint work done to a car. I will ring Audi and ask who they use. Then I'll see if they'll be happy doing just the bottom 1/4, i don't fancy getting a smart repair done at my door as it's not ideal conditions for painting but as it's only the lower 1/4 it may not be too bad
