We this was an unplanned purchase but due to paint issues with the S3 Saloon i was offered a cracking deal on an S4 Saloon that the dealer had in stock.

So here she is in all of her glory :) I did have a B8 S4 Avant a few years ago that i loved, and im really impressed with this so far.

once i have around 1,000 miles on the clock then we will be installing the MP-T module that should unleash an extra 45/50hp and 90/100nm :)

Nice S4 you have there!

Just out of curiosity is that mod the new Pedal box?

Was inquiring about one before Xmas to put on my tuned A4 272 TDI but was pretty hesitant as thought the throttle response would end up becoming too overwhelming..

How much does it cost? and is there any difference in the 0 60/ in gear times?

Horrible! Needs a bit extra on the back

Joking .. obviously ... or am I :) #AvantsRule!

Would be good to hear about the DTUK development on tuning boxes around the S4.

What a way to go :)
My first choice would always be the Avant, but as this will only be with us for 3 months it was a case of take what was available .. :) Got to love a "hearse"

Your new S4 looks great...congrats. Misano Red really suits the black styling pack, but apart from that your car has some tasty extras.

well i took the S4 out last night and had a play around with the pedalbox.

Drive select into Dynamic, but the gearbox in "D" and with the pedalbox in "eco" the car feels great.

I then swapped the pedalbox to "sport" and the ****** thing takes off, "sport+" is like an on/off switch and being honest i think its too much..

I swapped the gearbox into manual and used the flappy paddles with the pedalbox on sport+, and OMG thats very capable :)

So in the short time i used the pedalbox on the car last night, id say that the "eco" setting was best for day to day, and leave the sport and sport+ to either "cross country/motorways" or if you just want to be an absolute rebel :)

and for those that are interested, fitting of the tuning kit is childs play as all 3 connections are easily accessible :)

Ooh, I just love those under bonnet photos, especially with the engine exposed...

Do you have a tuning box for this S4? It's not on your website, only gives details for the previous S4 from what I can see.

We start the UK development this next week, as per the previous 3.0 this engine also utilises SENT sensors (digital), so were just waiting for the relevant wiring loom coming from Germany so we can start data logging etc..

I'm running the pedalbox at present, which transforms the car. So goodness knows what it will be like with the extra power/torque released by the box

well the testing continues (No new files) just testing the current set up and this car is absolutely amazing. My wifes dream car in retirement has always been a TTRS, but she now wants an S4....

Not sure about the MPG though...

I had a V8 12 seater Land Rover that used to do similar, fully loaded with 8 Kayaks on a trailer coupled to the rear. You wouldn't want to go quite that fast though...

I achieved similar 'economy' the first week of owning my B6 V8 S4 avant, eventually settled down to 17-19 mpg.

Can we really call 17-19 mpg..."settling down"? Haha. Epic.

Just did 150mile run last night, Friday evening motorways, M25 etc. Stuck it in economy and got 32.6 average, not so bad for a fair bit of stop start, pretty refined too. I love the dual nature of the car. In dynamic and manual it is so different :)
