Looking on eBay I can only see 18 20 and 22 mm ones can anyone clarify this?

I'm sure mines 24mm....I'll check it tomorrow as I'm doing the gearbox oil at long last.

Have you tried to tighten them up? As you may find that the gap will shrink.

So I should be fine? Just got the drop links off wasn't gong to try the arb if I was going to have to send them back but Feck it il go for it

Don't bother rob as they'll be too hard for your southern bottom.

Looks like the wrong bushes to me James as I think Powerflex do several sizes

All fitted still got the gap going to email the seller see what they say

That is a BIG gap

Did you lubricate them on the inside

and I doubt they would pass an MOT with a gap that big either .....you'll be loosing all the stiffness of the bush unless it fits fully around the bar as the gap becomes a week point and allows movement.

Yeah lubed them up and I know what to do what to do....

Fitted spacers today, got a good deal but had to drive to Birmingham for them
Ironically the 40mm bolts were too long on the front so had to go 36mm.

All fitted but min on back is 12mm because of lip, ideally only wanted 10mm

It's close lowered on h&R with weight of the convertible

Air con regas and air filter changed.
What's a good air con / heater cleaner ?
Air con smells ok now but still got slight smell from heater.

Changed the gearbox oil which was really a waste of time as it was spotlessly clean. Stunk awful though and at least I know it's been done with a decent oil now.....

The only thing I would say is feck knows how it only takes 2.2 litres according to Audi as it took just over 2.6 litres.

As a gearbox design engineer for a reputable super car company I'm sure it will take more, but will probably cause other problems (I.e. breather leaks) I would make sure it is set to the correct level.

Won't affect performance, but may affect leaks...

Car was done level and once filled it was left to find its own level before the fill plug was replaced.

In all the years of changing gearbox oil this is the way I've always done it as that's how it's meant to be done as far as I'm aware and I've never had one leak in all the years of doing them.

You should be fine then, was just a general comment, you can never assume somebodies competence!

Spacers fitted 12mm rear and 10mm front
Does make it look lower now, its on H&R springs, H&R spacers and uprated RS4 rear ARB.
Makes tears ET31 and front ET33

Had a measure today chaps, the arb measures 22mm but the plastic sleeve where the stops are is about 23mm the bushes are 22mm but the new brackets are slightly bigger than the old ones so there's only a mm here and there so I don't get why there's such a big gap

This is how the car is sitting 4 weeks after having -45mm H&R springs fitted. Was hoping it would have reduced the reverse rake but still seem to have a large gap between the front wheel and arch, much more than the rear. It's really annoying me and it's all I can see every time I look at the car. I need to fix it, I cant imagine the springs are gonna settle any more than they have, the front has possibly settled a couple of mm since fitting.

What do you guys think? Is it B5 perches time? Are the springs possibly fitted back to front?

Looks sweet, I've just completed mine,
I went with KW st. Had to have them made especially as no one stocked coilovers for my car??
Sounds crap but true.

Booked it in for the £2.5k worth of work it needs at AKS, before I can start tuning it. On top of the £2k I've already spent.

It's a good job I really like this car, because after this lot, I think I'll be keeping it for a very long time! :D

deep pockets required and a bottomless pit of expenses, sums up audi ownership very well, just aswell they are great cars otherwise they wouldn't be worth the expense.
