A friends car is having this issue.
2006 bkd sportback
Recently noticed clutch pedal sticking / slow return. She's worried about the clutch as it drags when sticks. I've done a Google search and on here and seeing so many mixed opinions and conflicting views
Basically does the bkd have a wet master cylinder or is it dry?
And first step I believe is bleeding the brake/clutch fluid.. I'am guessing need bleed all 4 brakes then the clutch?
Also saw mention of a damper valve? In the line I saw something on the bulkhead
Will bleeding system help or is she looking at box off for slave cylinder or clutch??
Thanks in advance

Bleed the clutch slave, you will see a T piece coming out the box with a cap.

Bleed from here.

Mines having this sort of problem after having a new clutch and flywheel fitted, so far it's been bled 4 times, had a new master cylinder and new slave cylinder, still having the issue, can be dangerous at times when your foots fully on the clutch and the clutch is still engaged

@Orange225 what engine is yours?

Change the T piece you bleed the clutch slave from, around £40 new they can fail. Bleeding them is a pain, best using a proper bleeder rather then pumping the clutch pedal over and over.

2.0 tdi bkd, it's been bled using the clutch and also using a pressure bleeder, the garage is trying to back bleed it on Friday. You don't happen to have a link to the part do you, the system was fine before the clutch and flywheel were changed

Back bleeding should sort it, same issue had on my mums TT. Bleeding normally didn't do it, back bled sorted it.

Dont have the exact part number but it's this

Look at this on eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/192037863655

Try back bleeding it, if that doesn't work order one of those from tps

What do you recommend using to back bleed the clutch with?

Had similar on my old S3 thought it was master cylinder but turned out to be it just needed new clutch

How many times did they back bleed it?

The TT took a good few times

It's not a long job, more laborious.

My brother did the TT, if you want to know exactly how to do it ill ask him
