Hi Guys,

New on here, but I'm hoping someone can re-assure me in a colour decision?!

Just placed an order and i'll be getting it 1/3/2017 so got a bit of elbow room to make some adjustments to my order.

This is what I have so far.....

Audi A4 Saloon S-Line S-Tronic Quattro 2.0 TDI 190
Daytona Grey (currently) but emailed to change it to Glacier White.
Tech Pack
Audi Virtual Cockpit
Bang & Olufsen Sound System
Deletion of Model/Tech badges
Doors mirrors - Folding, Heated ETC
Extended LED
Heated Seats
Hill Hold
Privacy Glass
19" 10 V-Spoke Alloys
(24 AdBlue Tank) :eyes:

as I've said previous, stuck on a colour, so any pics of peoples cars in Daytona Grey/Glacier White would be appreciated plus peoples views on spec! :tongueclosed:

Thaaaaaaaanks!

Privacy glass would contrast well with glacier white. I've got it with floret silver and it works well.

True, I'm still torn between the two.

I've never so undecided over a colour before! ...

Only if I could have Sebring Blue

I was undecided about colour so I let the choice be made for me. I wanted a simple spec, so I asked what stock vehicles were available with my engine and my spec. There were only two (I think) that fitted my requirements and as I was sure I didn't want a colour that would show all the dirt and scratches, floret silver fitted the bill. I've had numerous silver cars before, but the last was more than 10 years ago so I didn't mind it again this time round. As it happens, it's excellent at not showing the dirt.

I normally let the other half pick the colour, but I'm left with this predicament between glacier white and Daytona grey.

I've had white in the past, so might stray into the Daytona. The glacier white looks really nice .. when clean.

This is my Glacier White.
I initially ordered the solid white but changed to this.
It was always gonna be white though and after 2 months of ownership I dont regret my decision.
As far as keeping it clean, well its no worse than my previous car (Mazda6 in metallic red).

Thanks for that! Looks really good in the glacier white I must say!

I'm sure you have, but have you gone to the dealership and looked at the car's in person and in different lighting conditions?

We didn't when we ordered our old astra and regretted it, so when we went and ordered the Audi's we were there looking at all the colours, with the colour book and models in the show room.

Even tho I'm Team Black. My Misses A3 is Daytona, and it is a fantastic colour.... If your not someone that doesn't clean there car often, it would be the better option as well as it hides dirty / dust well.

I've been down a few times, spent about an 15-20mins walking round the compound trying to pick a colour, it was getting dark at the time, but I adopted for Daytona grey on my initial order.

I went back again at the weekend and they had one in with the glacier white. And that looked equally as nice! So changed it.

But I think I'm going to stick with my guns and have the Daytona grey after all. With the 19"s (not the diamond cut ones) chrome & tints with should contrast nicely! ...

I hope!

Daytona defo!

The white bubble has definately burst on cars now!

The majority of B9's I have seen on the roads tend to be dark blue or black and don't suit the shape at all!

I'll have to disagree with you about the Black ones @ScottishA4B9 :tonguewink:, but seriously, Daytona is great, and I would have chosen it if the misses didn't beat me too it!

Definitely stick with your original choice @BTCart

I know it's a b8 but it'll give you an idea of colour, tints and cut wheels on my profile pic.

Thanks for the reply guys! I think I'm made up for the Daytona grey now.

Just got to message the dealer again to change it

Yes good a choice as it is one of the easiest of colours to maintain. I would had had it on my A4 if I hadn't have had it on my A3...

Black hides all the nice lines of the car. It makes it look boxey and boring.

I have to say the B9 also looks in red!

Sorry to disagree, but my sister has a daytona A3 and finds it shows dirt/dust as bad as any darker colour always does. Her one however is never garaged,so is open to the elements all the time, looks good in the respect that is a slightly "sinister" looking colour if thats the right word, and suits the sline models.
However,my car will also be open to the elements, and i looked very carefully at the majority of the standard range colours in person. For me, Floret stands out as my choice by a mile.It has that subtle smokey silver hue and a touch of lilac /blue in some light. It also has a depth to it and the ability to show off the crease lines and contours of the A4 perfectly.it is so much different to any "standard" silver metallic ive seen previously, and is really apparent when seen next a regular silver. Its so classy and it also hides the dirt better than most.............as always colour is a very personal thing.Oh and it looks great with the dark privacy glass.
My advice is never choose a colour from a catalogue, video or online pics.they must be viewed in person ,outside and in.videos etc can never create the three dimensional view and the naked eyes response.

Good morning buddy!
I went for the glacier white.....I've attached a picture. Everyone who comments on the car always mentions how striking the colour is against the wheels. Highly recommend!

Looks great! Is that just the privacy glass or did you get the fronts tinted too?

Believe it or not there's no tint whatsoever. It's just the photo that makes it look that way. Considering a light tint and dechrome however.

Thanks! My better half gets annoyed when she has to walk into Sainsbury's from the far end of the car park. You have all this to come!!

Nice colour, very crisp and sharp which helps draw the eye to the crease lines etc.Ive always found dark colours on the A4 not as attractive.Perhaps its because of its classic conservative lines that seem to benefit from the lift white or silver tones add ?

It's something that has to be done! I'm dreading the airport car park! Which is even worse than your supermarkets!

Daytona DOESN'T show the dirt at all! That's why it's so popular! I hadn't washed my car in over a month and it still looked clean even after driving along mainly dirty country roads. And I'm OCD about keeping my car clean!

Floret is a nice colour as well.

Yikes:scared2: i can only speak as i find, its just my personal opinion.Ive always found ,by past experience that dark colours show that dusty film easier.Thats what i see on my sisters car.
Each to there own.NO offence intended to anyones colour choice.:friendly wink:

I agree about the majority of B9's seen on the road being blue or black. I have also seen a shed load of Daytona in the Taunton area!

However, I disagree about the white bubble being burst. I've done nearly 5,000 miles and to this date never seen a white one.

I must live in an impoverished area as I have seen less than half a dozen B9s of any description on local roads. I was on the M25 last weekend and I didn't see any there either. Consequently it's difficult to comment on colours having seen so few in real life. What I'm looking out for is a tango red Avant as that would have been my choice if I'd been able to wait for a factory order. Anybody seen one of those in real life?
