Facelift Very Competitive S3 Deals

I think it might be better to describe it as Competitive S3 deals... the word "Cheap" has connotations of cheap and nasty, and has made me feel slightly uneasy that everyone and their granny will now go out and buy one. Can a Moderator delete this thread please!? ;) :D

Joking aside, impressive numbers and a good deal, but 4 years is just a wee bit too long for me on a PCP deal.

Is this an S3 or A3 forum :tonguewink:.

Are these deals specific to that dealer or just the stock deals offered by Audi?

I got my wee 1.0TFSI SE for zero deposit and £250 per month on a 3 year 10k per annum PCP.

Personally I wouldn't take a PCP beyond 3 years. The whole point for me is to get a new car before I get bored and the warranty runs out.

I'd recommend buying from John Clark.
Had 9 cars through them, each time a pleasure to deal with.

Deals are specific to said dealer. Mate tried to get Glasgow to match and they wouldn't, and his cousin works in Glasgow Audi.

Select car leasing gave me an S3 Sportback, S-tronic, nano and b&o for:
3 months deposit
2 years pcp @ £313 per month
10k miles and fully maintained.

My first lease.... just waiting for the catch!

No mention of included miles which makes me weary. £4k cheaper than mine and if you believe the £1k is £25 per month then that makes my deal about the same price.

A Sepong Blue S3 5 door passed me at the airport flyover this morning, wondered if it was you @jassyo06 ? The driver game me a snarling look... clearly envious of the far superior paint colour on mine. :D

Hmm I'm looking to get a PCP deal for around £300 per month and no bigger than £4K deposit. I want a BE with a couple of options though so wonder if PCP is still better than lease...£900 deposit and £313 pm seems awfully cheap though!!! I only do 5k miles too!

Does that include VAT and when did you order?
Ordered from Select too at end of Sept, but paying £30 more on same terms without metallic or b&o

Ordered September got it first week of October

I'm on 3+23 pch but added drivers assist pack folding mirrors and rear camera which pushed the price to 428pm Inc.

It's still a bargain so select done special offers and promotions at the time the s3 was 100 less a month than the bmw 135i. so whacked out with extras came to the same as a vanilla 135i.

They do specials all the time. my particular deal expired but s3 is still on special. so better value than the equivalent merc bmw and ford

I usually get a nod and a smile from other S3 drivers, but there's always one I guess

How is 4 years too long, fire in a big dipper.....your almost level pegging come 30 months, besides that l wouldnt go near another S3 again.....and may l add...to @Scottyg post....these advertised cars at these rates will all be stock models or incomers...factory orders will be more expensive

Level Pegging depends on how much you pay per month, and that depends on the term. Basically if you take a 2yr PCP, you will be level pegging after about 20 months. 30 months on a 3yr and 40 months on a 4yr. These are just guesstimate numbers but you get the idea.

Going to call BS on this price unless you haven't included the 20% VAT or you mean 10k miles over 2 years (5k per year).

The best 3+23 lease price I have seen on the S3 was £307 inc vat and that was for 8k miles per year and metallic paint (no maintenance) from Lease Plan Go. The select car leasing deals advertised on their website came nowhere close.

Indeed but just cos it's the lowest doesn't mean they are a reliable or reputable company

Only reason I picked select is a mate and his family have all leased from there so I knew they were legit and good service.

Cheapest isn't always the best ;)

Aberdeen Audi will hold any of these deals to a factory order.
Obviously if you throw options at it the cost will increase, but the contribution etc will remain the same at the least.
In fact when I've added options to these deals I've always negotiated greater money off.

Why is it when someone gets a great deal that it's automatically referred to as BS?? Is it jealousy that the deal they got is poor in comparison or simply that people can't see others good fortune for what it is??

Hmm struggling to get near those figures...perhaps because I want the BE?

A 3door BE S3 in Daytona with folding mirrors and rear sensors, best discount I got from Coventry was 14%. Managed to get my local to slightly better it, but with £4K down my monthlies are still coming out at £330 over 24months with 5k miles....

Also not sure I won't those BE alloys....!

It's jealousy, coupled with self loathing at not pushing hard enough for their own deal.
I've seen on another part of this forum a relatively new poster having evidence of their deal demanded before the naysayers would believe them. Evidence was duly given and the naysayer went surprisingly quiet.

@Scottyg - You gotta wonder Scott
Me thinks people just don't like to see others good fortune for some reason
The 'tinterweb & its users can be a great place at times ...

& they seem to be doing some decent discount on S3's too
Always a good site to get a price to hit your lovely local Audi Dealer with IMO :thumbs up:

That's because you have done it over 2 years, I have done a 4 year PCP, I don't have any intention of keeping it 4 years but it makes payments cheaper.

Black edition shouldn't make too much difference, maybe £20 a month as the residule will be slightly higher.

I reckon you will have to put a little more than £4k down to get low monthlies..
I put down £8k on my S3 saloon no extras and 5k miles per annum over 48 months and i'm paying £270 per month..:friends:

I sometimes take what people say with a pinch of salt. I've seen on other forums the level of discount seems to increase with every post...12%, 13%, 14%... and before you know it people are quoting 65% discount.

I think the thing in my mind about a 4 year pcp is the amount of interest you pay back. Of course the monthlies are cheaper over a 3 year pcp, but you need to weigh everything up.

Oh OK...nah sorry I'm not comfortable taking the loan amount for that long. The amount of interest is eye watering....

I like that fact that after 24months, if I were to buy the car, the total cost is still cheaper than the RRP by a good couple of grand. Over 48months the cost of the car can be a good few grand higher than the RRP....

Yea I could put more down upfront, but I want to try and get the discount as low as possible. Artificially lowering the monthlies by putting more up front doesn't change the actual amount paid...thats what I want to reduce! Wishful thinking perhaps....!
