There were definitely pops and crackles on the downshifts in that Shmee video.
I am embarrassed to say I haven't finished watching that one yet ;-) I will watch it later.. I were quite disappointed when I noticed there weren't any.

2018 I reckon Jassy. Hold on to your money mate. Don't go to the TT dark side. But that's the most FUGLY hot hatch ever......RS3 Sportback face lift......does not exist.....

Good spot! It's turning into a manufacturers 'arms race'.
Interesting timescales too. This is exactly what I have been saying for a fair few months now. When you spot a model out on test at the Nurburgring (or wherever else) then its usually a good 12 months or more before you can get your hands on one at the dealers (and even longer for one on your drive!)
We haven't seen an updated RS3 out on test yet, and lets be honest, if you were Audi would you put a car out there in the next 3 to 6 months knowing that Merc will shortly release a better A45 AMG not long after.
I would say it is even more likely to be 2018 for a 'new model' RS3 Sportback with plenty of new bells & whistles and no doubt lots of ponies under the bonnet too! Maybe some carbon ceramic brakes on options list this time? (the new TTRS has them)
Craig, are you trolling me again?
This is getting tiresome. As much as your posts lighten up my day I feel like you're becoming my personal stalker... which is worrying.
You'll be hiding in the bushes in my front garden next, scraping your sausage fingers down the bonnet of my RS3 - you little green eyed monster, you.
I hope so man. You sound like you really want one. So fair do's.It will be arrive at some point over the next year. The new A45 in 2018 will be special though.

Oh Craig there's no need to be so black and white about things. You know I like to engage with you. Life would be dull without you stalking this forum, and stamping your feet when you don't like something. You remind me of Freddy Krueger, but with TT TDI keys for fingers. Haunting all us RS3 owners in our sleep. You responded to my post about an exhaust noise with your somewhat archaic views on what you think women like or should like so I commented on your reply.
If you don't want to engage don't reply to my posts.
Bushes; how middle class.

And yes. Bushes. The type you like to hide in.
I thought you might be up to something like that, enjoy!Sausage / car key fingers, dreams and hiding in bushes...........
It's all getting a bit bizarre for me.
Enjoy your manly weekend, I'll be spending mine washing my lady mobile and hanging around with the girls.

Don't know about the A45. Had one for a couple of weeks after a biker went into the back of me at the lights. Plastic fantastic. Wasn't impressed at all. Apart from the seats which were real nice.
******* hell, this 'joke' is tedious.TTRS is more toned down, noise wise.
For the girls, you know...
One of the options, apparently, is fake eyelashes for the headlights. I heard it's got a special compartment for your makeup too.
Your grumpy responses are tedious Andy, but you don't hear me complaining.******* hell, this 'joke' is tedious.
Er.. you just did. Which other grumpy responses are you referring to?Your grumpy responses are tedious Andy, but you don't hear me complaining.
Put the handbags away gents. The pettiness is all become old. Stick to discussing the RS3.

I've just picked up my chipped RS3 got it chipped at 3 k miles it's a total beastHi,
After losing out on a cancelled order by a matter of hours, I bit the bullet and went to order new. I have now had it confirmed by three dealers that Audi are not accepting orders on the A3 or RS3 at this time. This RS3 saga just gets better and better. I know I be been on here before but an 8 week wait and a fully loaded A45 discounted looks better by the day. I know about the 5th cylinder syndrome, but is it worth all of this bother..honestly?

I just thought I'd leave this here, to help with the RS3 / TTRS noise discussion.....
It does pretty much some the situation up, unfortunately. There's a lot of talk and no firm answers.Total tosh no one has any clue whatsoever.

Save yourself man. You'll kick yourself after a year in the A45, seeing all those new RS3's!Yeah I really do and can't wait for it to arrive.....I'm very patient so prepared to wait but I do agree about the A45 interior, it is plastic fantastic but still a good 2nd choice!

Nice car that like
Nice car that like
Not bad, would prefer a SB haha. My cut off is March, if I haven't heard anything after the next two motor shows then any updates will be too far away so I will look used I think That video I posted earlier on has helped me make that decision, haha. I must have one, so jealous of all you driving them already.
You won't be disappointed ..... best car & Audi I've ever owned by a long way
I've had a look on the Approved site.... a couple of times a day There aren't any on there which stand out anymore. Quite a lot of black cars, but I wouldn't go for a black RS3 personally. There is one nice Sepang car at the moment with awesome spec, priced £7,000 over it's recommended valuation haha.
As much as it is tempting because I have the deposit there, I'm not in a position yet to do all I want like have the car detailed when I take delivery, fit the must have tracker etc etc. It all seems's a bit rushed, so that's how I decided on March after the Frankfurt show, it's going to be a difficult wait though. The only concern for me then is the demonstrators will of racked up more miles, the thought of a demonstrator makes me cringe I'm hoping one of the caring forum members on here will decide they are bored of the start-up bark every morning and put one into Audi with low milage
