Honest 1 month review

I can honestly say that this car has not lived up to its expectations and that every day driving is a chore. It doesn't turn heads, the s-tronic is sluggish, the sound is very tinny and it really is slow off the mark. All in all, I feel I have wasted my hard earned cash and should have waited for the Focus RS or the FL.

I immediately saw it as a spoof, when I read "not lived up to its expectations" I read back over that a few times and established an auto correct error.

"Everyday driving is a chore" and "doesn't turn heads" confirmed for me that you were faking ;-)

Simple answer is, it's impossible for us not to like this car IMO.

Gave her a real clean today and detail. Sepang came up a treat. Went for a chug into town and got followed by a Focus RS. Peeled off into town and he pulled up at the lights and just gave me a massive thumbs up. Refreshing to see not all other performance car owners are tits that like driving up your backside all the time. Some genuinely appreciate a car when they see one.
What a nice chap.

Also refreshing to see a NICE focus RS owner, usually I have only seen chavvy people driving them, refreshing to read that post!!

My rs3 turns more heads than my gtr. And sounds louder than the gtr. (Gtr has decat and y pipe so louder than stock) rs3 still louder!! I dragged raced them both and the rs3 wasn't far behind... Gtr is a stock 550bhp rs3 has a dtuk box on it. On preset..

Defo recommend the dtuk box.

Before putting the box on I felt the rs3 was lacking big time mid range wasn't impressed!! Hence got the dtuk box and now it's fine but should feel like this from the factory.

Hate the gear box loads of mistakes. Throttle response is so poor. If floor it it can Rev it's balls off before the gearbox catches... Even when flooring it going through gears in auto between gear changes big delay it doesn't just fly through the gears without dropping boost like the 8p rs3. Horrible drop in boost between gears... Anyway hate gearbox.

Other than that it sounds like a monster!! Pops bangs in dynamic.

I've a Golf R with a DTUK box. I had to take it off for a service and it felt unbelievably slow. I actually had a drag race with an RS3 with my tuning box on. I'm assuming he was stock. He pulled probably 4-6 car lengths up to 100mph.
