Hi
Im hoping someone can help with this massive problem that ive currently got with my Avant.
For the last 3-4 months my alarm is spontaneously going off during the night and my local agarge cant seem to solve the problem even after Ive spend over £300 for various things. The Boot fuse board has been changed and some of the wiring looms but still the alarm is going off when it wants. I now have to leave the car door open and that stops the Alarm from going off
Im now wanting to find out where the Alarm siren is so I can just disconnect it so myself and my neighbors can have a decent nights sleep. I've looked in the boot side compartments and one side hase a fuse board with some wiring looms and the other side has what looks like an amp. Does anyone know where the the siren box is so I can just disconnect it???

Many thanks

When the alarm is triggered, it uses leaves a fault log to advise what triggered as in movement, door etc, have they checked this diagnostically?

Hi
Yes Ive checked the diagnostics and it has a fault code 001134 Alarm horn (H12)
So i want to remove the alarm siren itself and see if this fault code still comes up.

It will as unplugging will show a fault, ideally you need another to plug in to test for the repeat fault logged.

Well Im hoping to locate where the siren is so i can try a replacement, at the moment I just done know where it is... lol

Maybe Craig Ellis is one of these thieves who plugs into the OBD port. Now he knows a lot of us are reducing the alarm timer to zero and taking out a fuse he needs to find out where the siren is so he can disable it before breaking the window........ ;)

Haha, pretty easy to locate tbh.

Cant see someone messing around trying to open bonnet (which would probably trigger alarm) to unplug the siren. Its the quietest thing ever. Think my lock beep is louder!

I find that quite insulting, can you keep your childish comment to yourself please. I'm
Simply asking for advice............

Scuttle panel under the bonnet

Is this at the back of the bonnet near the windscreen wipers? Is it easy to get access?
I away with work until Monday so I will be able to have a look when I get home. Thanks for your advice it gives me something to work from.
