Hi all, I'm looking for an exhaust system for my 2.0 TFSI (200bhp), does anyone have any experience with Milltek or Cobra exhausts? Also, I'm not entirely sure what I'm looking for so any help or tips would be hugely appreciated!

I've got a miltek turbo back non res and o can't knock it mate, some people have said bad things about miltek but I've never had any issues with them, had a miltek system on my previous car too, good exhaust for the money!

Huge load of information via the search. Also put in things like BCS Exhausts and custom exhausts. Have a good look and spend an hour or so, and you'll come back much more informed. Though still with questions I'm sure.
Four questions to answer, to get you started....
1. How much do you want to spend?
2. What do you actually want the exhaust to achieve? - e.g. Noise all the time, or not, lots of extra power or not.
3. Are you doing any other modifications to your car (if so what, and how does that impact on 1&2)
4. Where in the UK are you?

1. No more than £600
2. Noise would be nice but mainly extra power
3. Possibly an induction kit and also looking to get it remapped in February or March dependent on money.
4. East Midlands, Lincolnshire

Cheers!

If you want a full system for £600 your going to have to get a used one I think mate, decat and non res are always a lot cheaper, may want to look at some custom exhaust places around your area, they can work out cheaper too, I had a powerflow at back on mine before the miltek and it was fitted perfect! BCS power valve systems are top quality but are steep in cost!

£1500 for the BCS Powervalve is the best you can get and you will have better power all the way through the rev range, and you wont get a drone at 70/80mph like you get with with a non resonated system, it only becomes non resonated on full boost, it genius is it keeps back presure off boost to keep power in the lower rev range.
Miltek are not as well built as they were due to over demand.
You will be better off doing a remap with a good well known mapper @ stage 1 with induction kit and then when you get your exhaust system fitted get the map altered to suit.

Much appreciated, thanks for the help! Is there any induction kits you'd recommend?

Also, I was thinking R-tech for the stage 1 remap, heard very good things about them regarding both price and quality of their work

What year is your registration plate? R-tech will do the TFSI engine. A3 engines 58 plate onwards whilst badged TFSI are TSI EA888 and R-Tech focus on the former. I know, as mine is 58 plate and I used R-Tech and found all the above out! They did a map as I'd travelled a distance.

Cheers Tim! Mister C, my cars an 06 plate

Yh got mine done by flash remapping which isn't custom just generic plug in and flash...but have heard good reviews and a stage 1 is pretty basic to be fair but totally transforms the car...
Need exhaust done before stage two and maybe autotech internals done on the high-pressure fuel pump then I will go to rtech for stage 2

Wow! How much did you pay for the generic map if you don't mind me asking?

I've been quoted £290 by R-tech, for between 245 and 255bhp and between 280 and 300 lb/ft of torque, I think that's a great price considering it includes getting the car on a dyno and what not. Also, I emailed them for this basic information and got a response within a day and an incredibly informative reply, so far so good!

Yh they're wicked..if it weren't for my impatience and holiday period clashing with their busy period I would have done the drive down to Leicester

Ah gutted!! That's a bit of a ball ache. Just ordered that same ram air induction kit as you have Tim, the ko4 oversized one, very excited!

R-tech are great! I had my 1.9tdi mapped by them. But was a long wait so best to get booking now lol

Ouch, 2months is a long time! I have a week off work in about 4 weeks so I'm hoping they can fit me in then, fingers crossed!

I've just booked mine in for Friday the 12th of February! 3 and a half weeks isn't so bad! I need to start a build thread on here at some point soon as well

I'm hoping my induction kit will have arrived by/on thursday so I can get that done, and then I'll be able to include that in the start of my build thread, which I'll hope to get started Thursday night!
