Well it's been confirmed Audi missed the interior light pack for the interior door handles. :wtf:It was also missed by Northampton when PDI. :wtf:

The only silver lining is I got the RS3 for 4 days over the weekend.

It's full loaded with mag ride/Sports exhaust, and it sounds absolutely great. Sadly it's got to go back tonight.:bye::bye::bye:

Anyway a few pics.

Nice to get a loan car for the a few days and if you are happy that this is suitable compensation then that's cool, However, personally i would have held out for much more

They're carbon not gloss, drive feels very similar to the S3, but the noise makes the car, especially on the down shifts when it's popping and banging. The power delivery seems to be a bit smoother as well. Haven't really pushed it hard as the weather's been so bad.

It's a lovely car with the exhaust/mag ride & pano roof. Haven't found the Sports seats to offer anymore than the standard seats in the S3 thou.

It also missing the mono pur, which I think detracts slightly for the interior, and no hold assist.

Will miss it, even could get used to the SB shape.

Don't worry going to have the conversation with Audi UK tomorrow, as it's been a series of problems from the outset.

I have two out of three just missing the exhaust ;o)

Also wouldn't be without the Mono Pur myself !

Ah sorry they look black - good to illustrate the look anyway with Sepang and B/P combo.

Yeah don't blame you mate you've certainly been messed around with all of this.

The grey wheel colour is totally out of place on the car, high gloss black would suit it far better, as would black roof rails

They originally wanted my car for 2 days, but arranged for it to go in on a Friday so I could at least have the RS over a weekend.

Definitely would, actually found the s3 quite tame afterwards, would have to have the dynamic pack, most of the time I was in sport mode and the sound was very addictive.
Hopefully there will be a saloon version in the not too distant future, just have to convince the Mrs to let me have another Audi after all the issues (and still ongoing - they managed to damage the mono our on the side of the centre console when they fitted the missing interior light bits)

Discussions are already underway, just waiting for northampton's excuse for the damage. Have completely lost faith in their ability to do anything without causing more issues.

Well looks like I'll be getting the RS3 again - will be harder to give it back this time - Northampton have accepted it was probably accidentally damaged while fitting the lights. This car is jinxed.

Jeez!!! Thats shocking ..... not even like they wouldn't have seen it! Did they own up to it when they handed it back ......or just hand it back and keep shum?

Fancy taking me for a spin in that RS3 if you have it for a while? Im dying to see one in the flesh and hear that "Snap Crackle & Pop"

Nothing surprises me anymore with Northampton Audi/Audi.:(:(

Apparently it wasn't noticed, I picked the car up in the dark and didn't notice until the next morning. They even left one of their walkie talkie things in the car as well.

No problem taking you for a spin, I'll try (sorry insist) and get the car for a long weekend again, and hopefully it'll be the same one with the dynamic pack.:):)

They're doing an after market fitting for something that should really be done at factory and I'm guessing to get to that part they had to really go at it.

I'm not justifying it and glad you have a courtesy RS, however I would have requested what I ordered to be fitted from factory otherwise reject the car. As you're far in now I would ask for further discount because who knows what else is going on inside the car!

Already rejected one after 3 weeks, this is the replacement, but will see what Audi uk have to say tomorrow now Northampton have accepted responsibility. Not sure I'd be able to reject again but it might be a starting point.

Seriously Andy at this stage Audi should do just about anything you tell them to. The sheer amount of waiting you've had to put up with and the number ****-ups beggars belief.

As A3_Rider says, the ILP should have been done at factory which probably explains the damage incurred in rectifying it. If you want to reject it, I say go for it can't see how they can refuse. The question is can you stand another few months wait?

Yeah, very true. Mind you I reckon you could have ordered a couple of RS3's by the time you get a fully functioning S3.

I can't say I believe in curses, jinx's and all that mumbo jumbo but after the sheer amount of grief you've had I reckon I'd be looking to try something else? The question is what though, not much else around is there.

How fixed are you on colour/spec..............maybe something from stock?

Blimey !!! That's a tough one Andy ......have you driven an RS6 before?

Nope, had to have a look on the Audi site for the specs.

RS6 but only if it has the sports exhaust and a tank of fuel !

Suppose I'd never get another chance, so probably will be the RS6.

I would also be absolutely interested in experiencing an RS6 :salute::salute::salute::salute::salute::salute::salute::salute::salute:

I might take some things out of my car, tell Audi they were missing on delivery and see if I can get an R8 for the weekend.

You reckon if I took the engine out, they'd believe me?

I drove an RS6 at an Audi VIP event and it's nothing short of perfection. If you think the RS3 is fast, the RS6 will absolutely blow your mind.

But make sure they fill the tank first, I was seeing circa 14mpg :sign omg:

It has to be the RS6!

I have driven the RS7 at an Audi event and it is simply insane. The only downside will be that you will not want to give it back!
