Hi all,
I'm looking to replace my current S3 with an S-tronic version, however I've spec'd a hatchback with a list price of £38,575 and been quoted a GFV of £11,199 over a 3 year deal at 15k miles per year.
Has the used price of S3's plummeted? It seems rather low compared to my current car which is £13850 after 4 years!

Ok couple of things.

It doesn't matter what the price is with all the options you have, they base the GFV on mileage covered and the list RRP price without extra/options.
Next, check out - https://www.audi.co.uk/explore-models/finance-calculator.html#/calculator?range=A3&model=S3&trim=S3 Navigation&modelCode=8V1S3L\0\GPNUPNU\GYEIYEI&productType=SOLUTIONS&deposit=3271&mileage=15&period=36 where you will see that the GFV from Audi is £16,368
So go back and ask your sales bod why he is under valuing the car by £5k in his figures. Also, what discount are you getting? Remember that if you already have VWFS finance and he gets you on a new PCP with them again, he gets a nice renewal, so make sure you mention this as well.

£15,830 here after 4 years! 8000 mile per year (of which I'll be over).

Think of your options as money you will not see again, when you px they go on GAP price with zero options.

EDIT* Remember also high payment = low end price, low payment = higher end price.

Thanks for this, I knew the options would not increase the GFV but it's interesting to see Audi quoting £5k more! As for discount, he quoted a price of £35,111 for the car, which is approx 9% discount.

S-Tronic in any Audi has a higher GFV....my car is 5 quid under £18k over 4 long god damn years...think not...lol

I got £18509 with mine when I was quoted over 3 years and 8000 pa (subsequently had to pull out of it but that's a different story!)

That was in March time, I'd think that with many more S3's on the road the gfv would come down a little bit - but maybe the vw / Audi probe has had a knock on effect???

Finally I had added mag ride on my spec and it actually increased the gfv by a couple of hundred quid as I had a finance quote before and after......

Mine has a GFV of £16996 over 3 years with 15.5k per year - 3dr S-tronic - List with options was £42k

GFV is £16k with 8k miles per year, 4 year term.
Cost of car was £30k.

Why do you want a high GFV? Does that not mean you will have to pay more if you were to pay it off/refinance?
