Anyone got any recommendations on where to get some new wiper blades?

Better to stick with OEM, think they're made by valeo? Or go with bosch.

Cheers

Replaced the noisy, smeary cheap 'n' nasties, that had been fitted at some point before the car arrived with me, last Autumn with OEM from TPS. Difference was night and day, still perfect nearly 12 months on. IIRC, they were on offer around this time last year too.

You remember how roughly how much they were? Don't think my tps takes customers off the street

I normally buy Bosch wipers for my cars, but they squeaked liked crazy when I put them on our A4 Cab.

Went straight back to OEM from the dealers (which were expensive) and no further problems.

Cheers folks, think I'll stick with OEM then

Don't know if there are different standards of bosch but I replacred OEM with bosch over a year ago and they are still going strong, no noises and work very well

Thanks for this thread - really useful - was about to hit buy on some Bosches from Amazon, now going to get OE ones!

They maybe expensive but PIAA's everyday for me. The ones you want are VM303SE and they come in @ roughly £63.00 give or take a little from Malaysia. http://www.fasmoto.com/piaa-silencio-xtrm-silicone-vm303se-one-pair

Once you've gone PIAA you'll never go back :)

That's a bit expensive for blades in my opinion! My windows are all coated in gtechniq smart glass, so water beads off anyway. I would definitely encourage anyone do it, the coating lasts up to a year

They may sound expensive but the best thing about PIAA's is that the blades are replaceable @ £16.00 a pair which is nearly half the price of a set of decent wipers.

Tbh if it's a BMW then definitely get OEM.. They make more noise than the wife on rag week.
Seriously put some fresh blades on even if their from halfords and they will be quiet and more importantly work..

Amazon product

To anyone interested, I got these and they're amazing. No noise, work perfectly.

If you fit new wipers I'd advise giving your windscreen a polish to remove any contamination and you should never have any problems.

I stuck some OE ones on in the end and they are completely judder/noise free - even in that low level drizzle which the old ones used to be terrible at.

Last year i bought a pair of Valeo from Sc car parts for the price of 35.00 and they are absolutelly S*it !!!
Next time i will take a cheap Ebay one so every year i will change them but they will cost me 6 quid !!!
I prefer the OEM as well but well ****** when pay 35 and receive nothing !
