I've just booked my S3 in for a BCS system. I have gone for the turbo back with a Cat non power valve system. What's people's thoughts on the power valve/non power valve systems? Is there any difference in performance?

Cheers

Both very good systems, I had a powervalve system on my last S3 and loved it!
People have quoted extra power gains with the powervalve system but I had a Leon Cupra R before (same engine) and had bcs sport system and that was excellent too.
The fact is no matter what system you choose they'll look after you and it'll look and sound exactly how it should.
Very good choice! Think they maybe doing my RS3 after Christmas.

my thoughts.. go for the power valve, the extra money is so worth it.

R tech have seen an increase of 10 hp with the power valve over other performance exhaust systems.

Yup same as above, with just the Powervalve and Revo intake before mine was mapped it was making about 290bhp, not exactly sure how much was down to exhaust but must be between 10%-15%

Its the low down torque where the benefit is on the powervalve, before boosting you have a bit more back pressure as you get on a naturally aspirated engine, but when the turbo starts to spool the valve opens and allows the the engine to break loose and go mental, best of both worlds. :respekt:

Got turbo back powervalve full heat wrap down pipe and it's awsome ! So glad I paid the extra for the bells and whistles

Didn't know they done a cat back powervalve, thought it was the full system with 200 cell sport cat?

Is the exhaust system resonated or non resonated? With the power valve system when you're just cruising around does the exhaust sound like a standard system or can you hear a difference? I'm hoping for a few pops and bangs :smirk:

Read what there site says, if a rally car sound you want then that's what your gonna get on full boost ie: non resonated and resonated when cruising and off boost, or you can just buy the full on non resonated system, but that has a disadvantage of no low down torque power.

It's best of both , personally I didn't want something loud all the time so cruising to work on the motorway etc u wouldn't even no it's on there but then get on the boost and it's awsome ! The system it's self really is a piece of art welds etc are exceptional
