Evening all!
Ordered my A4 Avant back in April, and only just finally approaching delivery... at least it'll be a 65! Thought I'd start a thread for anyone who may be interested in these final stages of the agonising wait.
I've gone for:
- 2.0TFSI Quattro
- Black Edition Nav
- Misano Red
- Heated Seats
- Advanced Key
- S-Line Suspension
- ILP
- De-badge
- Folding Mirrors
- Rear Blinds
I shopped around for a while, and finally got a great deal offered on CarWow. I asked my local dealer (Carlisle Audi) to match it and - much to my surprise - they did! So now I only have to travel 5 miles for eventual collection, rather than the 200 it would have been to Coventry!
Original BW was 36, but it got built a week early and as of Monday was 'Released for Shipping'. Dealers original estimate (based on BW36) for delivery was w/c 14th, so I'm hoping that's going to come forwards a bit due to the earlier build.
In anticipation, on Thursday I sold my 2012 A3 to a local trader - I was terrified of a sizeable price drop occurring on the 1st of September! So I'm now Audi-less.
I'm now desperately keeping an eye on MarineTraffic to see what's heading from Emden to Tyne! Unfortunately that route seems to be travelled less frequently that Emden > Grimsby and Emden > Sheerness at the moment.
Due to the dealer matching a CarWow deal, my order was put in with a larger fleet order. As a result, I've had very little communication from the dealer and have also been unable to use the new Tracker (can't on 'fleet' orders, apparently), which has lead to some frustration at times.
I've requested that the car isn't prepped by the dealer, and it's booked in for a 3 day detail w/c 21st.
In the garage waiting to go I've got:
- LED ILP and front fogs upgrades
- 034 Transmission Mount
- Dog guard
- Hatchbag boot liner
- WiFi OBD dongle for making some changes with Carista
I'll post when I hear of any updates from the dealer.
